Abstract: Idle discontinuous reception (I-DRX) cycles at a user equipment (UE) may be extended via leveraging of paging assistance from a second UE. For example, a low complexity UE may have a connection to a network (e.g., via a link to a base station) as well as a connection to another UE (e.g., via a device-to-device link to a regular UE). In cases where such a low complexity UE receives paging messages from the network, a UE associated with a device-to-device link of the low complexity UE may monitor paging messages on behalf of the low complexity UE. As such, the low complexity UE may extend its I-DRX cycle, as the assisting UE monitors paging information for the low complexity UE. The assisting UE may forward paging information for the low complexity UE according to paging occasions of the extended I-DRX cycle of the low complexity UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a message to a network entity, such as a base station, indicating a capability of the UE to support multiple supplemental uplink frequency bands bundled to a serving cell. The UE may transmit the capability in a capability report with other capability information, or independent of a capability report. The UE may receive an information element (IE) in control signaling. The IE may indicate a set of supplemental uplink frequency bands for the serving cell. Each supplemental uplink frequency band may span one or more supplemental uplink carriers. The UE may receive additional control signaling scheduling one or more uplink transmissions on at least one supplemental uplink frequency band for the serving cell.

A user equipment (UE) may receive at least one control message from a base station, the at least one message jointly scheduling the UE for access network communications between the UE and the base station and for sidelink communications between the UE and another UE, such as another UE in a group of UEs. The UE may determine network control information based on the at least one control message. The UE may also determine sidelink control information based on the at least one control message. The UE may communicate with the base station and the other UE in accordance with the network control information and the sidelink control information, respectively.

In aspects, a base station may determine one or more signaling parameters to be used to transmit one or more reference signals that identify the base station in association with remote interference management, wherein the one or more signaling parameters include at least one of: multiple time periods in which the one or more reference signals are to be transmitted; one or more mini-bands, within one or more sub-bands, in which the one or more reference signals are to be transmitted; one or more scrambling codes, selected from a pool of scrambling codes, to be used to scramble the one or more reference signals; or a combination thereof. The base station may transmit the one or more reference signals using the one or more signaling parameters to identify the base station in association with remote interference management. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support configuring associations between system information of at least one downlink (DL) anchor carrier and at least one random access channel (RACH) occasion (RO) of an uplink (UL) anchor carrier for initial access in flexible multicarrier operations. System information may be transmitted by a base station to a UE over the DL anchor carrier. In aspects, the at least one DL anchor carrier may be mapped to an UL anchor carrier, or to one or more candidate UL anchor carriers from which the UE may configurably select the UL anchor carrier, for initial access operations. In aspects, the UL anchor carrier and/or the one or more candidate UL anchor carriers may be respectively associated with one or more ROs. The UE may perform initial access operations over the UL anchor carrier using the associated one or more ROs.

Abstract: The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support interference mitigation for remote devices. A first wireless device (e.g., a base station) may detect remote interference with its communications caused by a second wireless device (e. g., a second, remote base station) based on, for example, a measured interference over thermal noise level exceeding a threshold. The first wireless device may identify a set of time-frequency resources for remote interference reference signals and a data transmission for a user equipment (UE) that is in communication with the first wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit a remote interference signal to a second wireless device (e. g., a second base station) via the set of time-frequency resources. The first wireless device may further signal a resource allocation to the UE for the UE to use for transmitting uplink transmissions to the first wireless device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of a monitoring window used by the base station to monitor for uplink transmissions from the UE. The UE may receive a control signal scheduling uplink resources for an uplink transmission by the UE on at least a first component carrier, the first component carrier in a first radio frequency spectrum band. The UE may reconfigure, in response to the received control signal, a first transmit chain of the UE from a second component carrier in a second radio frequency spectrum band to the first component carrier in the first radio frequency spectrum band for the uplink transmission. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the indicated monitoring window and using at least the reconfigured first transmit chain, the uplink transmission on the first component carrier using the scheduled uplink resources.
