    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) in multiple slots. A network entity may determine precoding weights in three domains based on the SRS and output reference signals that are precoded based on the precoding weights. The network entity may output control signaling that indicates reference signal resource grouping information that the UE is to use for channel estimations. The reference signal resource grouping information may specify whether the ports in one group are precoded with identical or different spatial, frequency, and time domain weights. A UE may receive the precoded reference signals and the grouping information and report estimated channel metrics and an indication of selected ports per group to the network entity. The network entity may determine precoding in three domains for subsequent downlink communications.

    Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a base station includes receiving a channel state information (CSI) payload at a neural network CSI decoder. The method also includes decoding the CSI payload to generate a quantity (N) of precoding vectors for N transmission layers. The method further includes orthogonalizing the N precoding vectors to generate N orthogonal precoding vectors. The method still further includes transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), downlink data that is precoded in accordance with the N orthogonal precoding vectors.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a first indication that the UE is within a distance threshold (e.g., in the near field) of multiple-in multiple-out (MIMO) communications from the base station. A wireless device (e.g., a base station) may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an indication of a field type of a field between the UE and the wireless device. The indication of the field type may include one or more bits indicating the field type, a measure indicating a likelihood that the field type includes a first field type as compared to a second field type, an indication that the first type is the same as a second field type configured at the UE, or any combination thereof. The UE may select between a first set of beam weight vectors and a second set of beam weight vectors based on the field type. A base station may transmit one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs), each SSB including a system information block (SIB), to one or more user equipments (UEs). A UE of the one or more UEs may select an SSB with a corresponding SSB index for receiving a SIB and subsequently a multicast transmission from the base station. The multicast transmission may include transmitting a multicast control channel, a multicast traffic channel, or both. The SIB may include one or more parameters for receiving the multicast transmission. The UE may identify one or more monitoring occasions for monitoring a physical downlink control channel for scheduling the multicast transmission based on the SSB index. The UE may receive the multicast transmission in accordance with the one or more parameters from the physical downlink control channel during the one or more monitoring occasions.
