Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for sidelink groupcast communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a beam training request to a base station to determine beams for use with other UEs in a sidelink groupcast communications group. The base station may receive the beam training request, identify wireless resources that a group of UEs may use to perform beam training, and may transmit a beam training grant to each UE of the group of UEs. The UE may transmit a number of training beams using the wireless resources provided in the beam training grant, and the other UEs may measure received signals on the wireless resources to identify one or more beams. Each UE may provide a beam training report to the base station. The base station, based on the beam training reports, may determine beams and resources for use in the groupcast sidelink communications.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a co-channel configuration. The co-channel configuration may indicate a set of sidelink parameters for a co-channel operation associated with dynamically utilizing sidelink radio frequency resources allocated for a first radio access technology and sidelink radio frequency resources allocated for a second radio access technology. The UE may transmit, based on the received co-channel configuration, an indication of a set of channel availability parameter values indicating an amount of available sidelink radio frequency resources associated with the first radio access technology, the second radio access technology, or both. Subsequently, the UE may receive a grant scheduling a set of sidelink resources for the wireless communication associated with the second radio access technology based on the transmitted indication of the set of channel availability parameter values for the co-channel operation.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which two or more UEs of a wireless communications system may establish a sidelink connection. A first UE that is initiating sidelink communications may evaluate whether the sidelink connection can support a quality of service (QoS) for a data flow prior to admitting the data flow. The first UE may evaluate a link quality with one or more other UEs that are to use the data flow on the sidelink connection, evaluate system congestion of time/frequency resources that are available for the sidelink connection, or any combinations thereof, and admit the data flow based on the evaluation. A link quality of the sidelink connection may be determined based on a type of communication associated with the data flow, such as unicast communications with one other UE, multicast communications with multiple other UEs, or broadcast transmissions to multiple UEs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for identification reinterpretation in sidelink control information (SCI) are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit to a second UE or device, on a sidelink channel, SCI. The SCI may include a partial source and destination identifier fields and may indicate to the second UE to apply a first interpretation of multiple different interpretations for the partial source identifier field and the partial destination identifier field. For example, the SCI may indicate to interpret the partial source identifier field and the partial destination identifier field in combination as a source identifier field, as a destination identifier field, or as a partial source identifier and a partial destination identifier. The UE may transmit a medium access control (MAC) packet including a MAC header with identifier fields set to be complementary to the SCI.

Abstract: Aspects relate to location services in a wireless communication network. A first wireless communication device may send capability information to the network indicating that the first wireless communication device supports a location services protocol but does not support location services notifications. Upon receiving this capability information, the network may refrain from performing a privacy check procedure directed to the first wireless communication device. As another example, the network may refrain from performing a privacy check procedure directed to the first wireless communication device based on a determination that the first wireless communication device performs a relay function (or otherwise does not support location services notifications or user interaction). Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe indicating per-packet quality of service (QoS) in communications by a wireless communications device. A packet from an application generated for a first radio access technology (RAT) can be obtained, where the packet includes a first QoS value associated with the first RAT, and/or the first QoS value can be mapped to a second QoS value associated with the second RAT. In another example, the QoS value can be indicated in the packet along with a reflective indicator indicating to use the QoS value in transmitting a response to the packet.
