    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a second UE, an indication of a first uplink timing advance for communications from the second UE to a base station. The UE may estimate, based at least in part on the first uplink timing advance received from the second UE, a second uplink timing advance for transmission of a random access message from the first UE to the base station. The UE may transmit, to the base station, the random access message using the second uplink timing advance.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may transmit a grant to a first user equipment (UE) that indicates a resource allocation for a sidelink communication, either from the first UE to a second UE or from the second UE to the first UE. The grant may include a destination identifier associated with the sidelink communication, as well as a mapping between the resource allocation and the destination identifier. The destination identifier may be based on information in an indication received from the first UE. In some examples, the base station may configure a default receiver UE for transmissions from the first UE, and the base station may identify a receiver UE in the grant if the intended receiver UE is different than the default receiver UE.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support enhanced ESL position determination and ESL position based notifications. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes obtaining first position information for an asset of one or more assets associated with an electronic shelf label system based on first wireless information, and the first position information is associated with a first time. The method also includes obtaining second position information for the asset based on second wireless information, and the second position information is associated with a second time. The method further includes determining a notification for the asset based on the first position information, the second position information, the first time, and the second time.     Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) systems that support positioning of ESL devices. In a first aspect, a method includes: determining known positions of a first subset of ESL devices; receiving positioning measurements for each ESL device in a second subset of ESL devices; estimating a first position of each ESL device in the second subset based on the positioning measurements received for that ESL device and the known positions of the first subset; determining a positioning error associated with the first position of each ESL device in the second subset; and estimating a second position of each ESL device in the second subset based on the positioning error and additional positioning measurements received for that ESL device.     Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, are directed to configuration of a beamforming vector using an estimated covariance matrix, which may reduce latency commensurate with a beam training procedure. An apparatus may receive, from another apparatus, information indicating a configured subset of a set of TX beams at the other apparatus. The other apparatus may transmit pilot signals via the configured subset of the set of TX beams. The apparatus may transmit, to the other apparatus, information associated with the set of beam pairs of the apparatus and the other apparatus. The apparatus may estimate a channel covariance matrix using the accumulated signal strength value, and may calculate a beamforming vector from the channel covariance matrix. The apparatus and the other apparatus may perform a beam training procedure using respective beamforming vectors.

A base station (e.g., a central unit (CU) function of the base station) may select, from a set of distributed units (DUs) associated with the CU, a DU of an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node to control sidelink communications for a user equipment (UE). The base station may determine a configuration of sidelink parameters for the sidelink communications with the UE, the sidelink parameters comprising an identification of the selected DU. The base station may transmit, to the TAB node performing sidelink communications with the UE, an indication of the configuration of sidelink parameters for the sidelink communications.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow AGC symbols to be applied for identifying or indicating target Rx UEs of sidelink communications from Tx UEs. A Tx UE transmits an AGC signal to a Rx UE in a RB associated with the Rx UE. The Rx UE receives the AGC signal from the Tx UE. The Tx UE transmits sidelink data to the Rx UE after the AGC signal. The Rx UE decodes sidelink data from the Tx UE in response to the AGC signal being received in a RB associated with the Rx UE. The Rx UE refrains from decoding the sidelink data from the Tx UE in response to the AGC signal being received in a different RB than the RB associated with the Rx UE. In this way, Rx UEs may save monitoring and processing power and time in receiving and decoding sidelink communications.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node sets a downlink transmission timing of the IAB node relative to a downlink reception timing of the IAB node based on a first set of values for a set of timing parameters, receives, from a parent IAB node of the IAB node, a second set of values for the set of timing parameters, and transmits, to a positioning entity, a report indicating a change from the first set of values to the second set of values, a new downlink transmission timing based on the second set of values, or a change in downlink transmission timing.
