    Abstract: An apparatus comprising: one or more cells, each cell comprising: a proton conductor (25) configured to conduct proton charge carriers; an electron conductor region (26) configured to conduct electrons; a first electrode (27) associated with one of the proton conductor region (26) and the electron conductor region (26); and a second electrode (28) associated with the other of the proton conductor region (25) and the electron conduction region (26); an antenna (50), wherein at least a portion of the antenna (50) is configured to provide at least some of the first electrode(s) (27) of the one or more cells; and circuitry (80) configured to be powered via second electrode(s) (28) of the one or more cells in electrical parallel, wherein the circuitry (80) is configured to operably connect to the antenna (50). An apparatus comprising: an antenna (50) comprising an antenna element (52) and a ground plane (54); and an energy storage device (20); wherein the ground plane (54) provides an electrode of the energy storage device (20).

    Abstract: A method including a deposition step comprising depositing a layer of graphene oxide; a deposition step including selectively exposing a region of the deposited graphene oxide layer to electromagnetic radiation to form a region of reduced graphene oxide adjacent to a neighboring region of unexposed graphene oxide, the graphene oxide and adjacent reduced graphene oxide regions forming a junction therebetween to produce a graphene oxide-reduced graphene oxide junction layer; and repeating the deposition and exposure steps for one or more further respective layers of graphene oxide, over an underlying graphene oxide-reduced graphene oxide junction layer, to produce an apparatus in which the respective junctions of the graphene oxide-reduced graphene oxide layers, when considered together, extend in the third dimension.

    Abstract: According to aspects of the present disclosure there is provided an apparatus and method for sensing. The apparatus includes a sensor circuit which includes a first output terminal, a second output terminal and a sensor that is provided in a bridge circuit arrangement. The sensor circuit is configured such that a sensor measurement can be determined based on a voltage difference between first and second output terminals. The apparatus is configured so as to prevent a current from being able to flow from the first output terminal through the sensor circuit to the second output terminal.
