摘要： A Plasma Display Panel (PDP) includes: a first substrate; a second substrate facing the first substrate; first barrier ribs, formed of a dielectric material and arranged between the first and second substrates, the first barrier ribs defining discharge cells with the first and second substrates; a phosphor layer arranged in the discharge cells; upper discharge electrodes arranged in the first barrier ribs and extending to surround the discharge cells; and lower discharge electrodes arranged in the first barrier ribs to be separated from the upper discharge electrodes, and extending to surround the discharge cells; wherein at least one of the upper and lower discharge electrodes includes discharge units that are respectively divided into plural pieces separated from each other to surround the discharge cells, and connection units electrically connecting the discharge units that respectively surround the neighboring discharge cells.

摘要： A method of driving a plasma display panel in which a plurality of sub-fields for time division gray-scale display exist in each frame which is a display period, and each of the sub-fields includes a reset period, an address period and a discharge-sustaining period. In the discharge-sustaining period, a sustaining pulse of a second level voltage based on a first level voltage is supplied to each Y-electrode line and X-electrode line according to a Y-supplied electrical-potential period and an X-supplied electrical-potential period. Each Y-supplied and X-supplied electrical-potential period includes a rising time to rise from the first level voltage to the second level voltage, a sustaining time to sustain the second level voltage, and a falling time to fall from the second level voltage to the first level voltage. An intermittent time to sustain the first level voltage, an intermittent time of the Y-supplied electrical-potential period, and an intermittent time of the X-supplied electrical-potential period do not overlap each other.

摘要： A plasma display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate disposed opposite to each other and having a plurality of discharge spaces therebetween forming a display region for implementing images. Display electrodes are provided in lateral sides of the discharge spaces and extend in a first direction. Address electrodes extend in a second direction crossing the display electrodes. A dummy cell region and a frit region are provided outside of the display region. The frit region includes a first frit formed on a periphery of the first substrate, a second frit formed on a periphery of the second substrate, a dielectric layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and covering the display electrodes, and electrode terminals drawn out from the display electrodes to an edge of the first substrate and the second substrate.

摘要： Provided is a plasma display panel (PDP) having a structure that prevents a frit from penetrating into a display area during a process of sealing the PDP. The PDP includes: a pair of substrates spaced apart from each other and facing each other; a sheet interposed between the pair of substrates and comprising a barrier rib part, defining discharge cells, and a dielectric part disposed on edges of the barrier rib part; first discharge electrodes disposed in the sheet; second discharge electrodes disposed in the sheet and spaced apart from the first discharge electrodes; a frit disposed between the pair of substrates and the dielectric part and sealing the pair of substrates; a groove formed on at least one of the pair of substrates and where at least a part of the frit is disposed; phosphor layers arranged in the discharge cells; and a discharge gas sealed in the discharge cells.
