摘要： In a copying apparatus, a storage capacity of an HDD which is used in a unique file system can be changed. In a partition area for image data formatted by a general-purpose file system, an area for a virtual unique high speed file system is provided and a reservation file having a data structure which can be used by the unique file system is constructed. A unique high speed file system accesses such an area, thereby enabling functions of the unique high speed file system to be virtually used and enabling information management of the image data to be made.

摘要： A print job for ring binding is received and page information contained in the print job is acquired. Based on the page information, it is determined whether a sheet used as a back cover in the ring binding is a sequential insert sheet whose insertion order is determined in advance. When it is determined that the sheet used as the back cover is a sequential insert sheet, control is performed such that the insert sheet used as the back cover is printed by discharging insert sheets up to the insert sheet just before the insert sheet used as the back cover out of a set of sequential insert sheets. Then, sheets used as inner sheets in the ring binding and a sheet used as a front cover in the ring binding are printed in order.

To solve the above problem, the control apparatus according to the present invention includes analyzing unit that provides command analysis for a CMYK plate and a clear toner plate, generating unit that generates image data of the CMYK plate based on a result of the command analysis by the analyzing unit, and embedding unit that embeds a clear toner attribute obtained by analyzing the clear toner plate in an attribute flag accompanying each of pixels of the image data of the CMYK plate, which is generated by the generating unit.

In order to implement a function not supported by a color copying apparatus, a control apparatus is interposed between a client terminal-connected network and the color copying apparatus. The control unit in the control apparatus receives a recovery request message from the color copying apparatus. In this case, the control unit refers to a user defining sheet database to determine which user defining sheet name and print sheet name is to be used as a sheet name contained in the recovery request message to be sent to a print job-issuing client terminal. The control unit transmits the determined recovery request message to the client terminal.

摘要： In order to produce a high-quality output of an image which is a mixture of images having different characteristics, there is provided an image processing apparatus having an image memory storing an entered color image and a feature detector, arranged for detecting a feature signal from the entered color image and storing the feature signal in the image memory. The feature signal represents a feature of the entered color image. An outputter is arranged for reading an image signal of the entered color image and the feature signal thereof out of the image memory, and outputting the image and feature signals as a recording signal. Processors are arranged for respectively processing one of a number of color components, which represent color image information, in accordance with the recording signal. The detection and storage in the image memory of feature signals and the readout of the image signal and associated feature signal from the image memory are performed in parallel.

摘要： An image processing apparatus of this invention reads raster-scanning type binary image data, and causes an outline extraction unit to extract outline vectors of an image. When a white raster detection unit detects that one raster data consists of all white pixels, it supplies the detection result to the outline extraction unit. Upon reception of this detection result, the outline extraction unit outputs the outline vectors extracted so far as a group of data to an outline smoothing & enlarging/compressing unit as a processing unit for executing outline smoothing processing or enlarging/compressing processing. In this manner, since this invention processes an image as a group of data divided in units of white rasters, advantages such as a decrease in required memory capacity can be expected.
