Abstract: Embodiments of a high efficiency (HE) access point (HE AP) and HE station (HE STA) are generally described herein. The HE AP may transmit a frame that includes a transmit power envelope element to indicate local maximum transmit power constraints for an operating bandwidth of the HE AP on a per-segment basis. The operating bandwidth may be configurable for division into segments of a configurable segment size. The transmit power envelope element may include: a transmit power information field that includes: a local maximum transmit power count subfield that indicates the operating bandwidth, and a segment size subfield that indicates the segment size; and for each of the segments, a local maximum transmit power per segment field that indicates a local maximum transmit power for the segment.

Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and apparatus for determining a receive (Rx) number of spatial streams (NSS) for different bandwidths (BWs) and modulation and control schemes (MCSs) are disclosed. An apparatus is disclosed comprising processing circuitry configured to decode a supported HE-MCS and a NSS set field, the supported HE-MSC and NSS set field received from an high-efficiency (HE) station. The processing circuitry may be further configured to determine a first maximum value of N receive (Rx) SS for a MCS and a bandwidth (BW), where the first maximum value of N Rx SS is equal to a largest number of Rx SS that supports the MCS for the BW as indicated by the supported HE-MCS and NSS set field; and, determine additional maximum values based on an operating mode (OM) notification frame, and a value of an OM control (OMC) field. Signaling for BW in 6 GHz is disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments for an access point (AP), station (STA) and method for communication are generally described herein. The processing circuitry configured to encode a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) for transmission to stations operable in the BSS. The PPDU may comprise a media access control (MAC) header portion. The processing circuitry may encode signaling in the MAC header portion of the PPDU that defines a spatial reuse restriction and the spatial reuse restriction may restrict spatial reuse by stations operating in a BSS that is different from the BSS of the AP. In an embodiment, processing circuitry coupled to the memory may encode the spatial reuse restriction in an HE-A control field of the MAC header portion.

Abstract: Systems and methods for frame addressing in DL MU-MIMO transmissions are described. In some embodiments, identifier information identifying receiving devices for a frame may be included in a header of that frame. In various embodiments, the identifier information may include a concatenation of respective identifiers for each of the plurality of receiving devices. In some other embodiments, the identifiers may include information identifying a pre-defined device group including several receiving devices. In some embodiments, the frame may include a medium access control (MAC) frame transmitted by an access point/personal basic service set control point (PCP/AP), and the recipient devices may include non-AP/non-PCP stations (STAs). In some such embodiments, a receiving STA address (RA) field or transmitting STA address (TA) field in a MAC header of the MAC frame may be used as a container for the recipient identifier information.

Abstract: A transmit power restriction period during which lower power transmissions may occur simultaneous with reception of other frames improves reuse of a wireless medium. In some aspects, a method includes continuing, by a wireless device, a back-off procedure when a first frame originating from outside a basic service set of the wireless device is received if a received energy of the first frame is below a threshold. Upon completion of the back-off procedure, a second frame may be transmitted at a reduced power level to avoid interfering with the first frame. The reduced transmit power level may be maintained for at least a predetermined time period or an end of a transmission opportunity of the wireless device, whichever is longer. Maintaining the reduced transmit power for the predetermined time period may prevent a subsequent transmission by the wireless device from unduly interfering with the first frame.

Abstract: A device is disclosed that may identify a frame received from an access point. The device may cause to buffer the payload field. The device may determine that a first payload, in a first payload field, corresponds to a multiband link aggregation (MBLA) Ethertype based at least in part on a logical link layer controller (LLC) field and a subnetwork access protocol (SNAP) Ethertype MBLA field in the first payload, wherein the first payload is within the payload field. The device may cause to remove a LLC MBLA header field from the first payload field. The device may cause to buffer a packet in a reordering queue, wherein the packet is in a second payload field that is in the first payload field. The device may order the packet among a plurality of packets in the reordering queue.

The processing circuitry may be configured to if the frame is not classified as an intra basic service set (BSS) or inter BSS, and the frame comprises a transmission holder (TXOP) address: classify the frame as the inter-BSS frame, if the TXOP address matches a first stored TXOP address associated with a basic network allocation vector (NAV) and the first stored TXOP address is classified as an inter basic service set (BSS) frame, or classify the frame as an intra-BSS frame if the TXOP address matches a second stored TXOP address associated with a non-zero intra-BSS NAV.
