Abstract: When cell system information changes, a first terminal device receives, during on duration of the first terminal device, system information sent by a second terminal device, so that the first terminal device can receive the system information through a sidelink between the first terminal device and the second terminal device without a need to maintain a cellular link, thereby reducing complexity and power consumption of system information transmission. Alternatively, when cell system information changes and a first terminal device has only one receive radio frequency chain, the first terminal device obtains system information within a gap period of communication between the second terminal device and the first terminal device through a link between the first terminal device and a network device, so that the first terminal device maintains a cellular link only within the gap period, thereby reducing complexity and power consumption of system information transmission to some extent.

Abstract: A method, device and system are provided for a user equipment positioning. In an embodiment, a central device of a radio access network (RAN) node, which comprises the central device and at least two distributed devices, receives positioning measurement request information from a location management function (LMF) device. The central device separately sends uplink signal configuration information to a first distributed device and a second distributed device of the at least two distributed devices in application protocol signaling The first and two distributed devices measure an uplink signal sent from a user equipment, and the two distributed devices separately sends a uplink signal measurement result in an application protocol signaling to the central device. The central device sends a positioning measurement result comprising the two uplink signal measurement results to the LMF device.

Abstract: A service data transmission method, user equipment, and a network device are provided. The method includes: determining, by a network device, a control message used to indicate at least two SPS configurations, and sending the control message to user equipment; and receiving, by the user equipment, the control message sent by the network device, and activating the at least two SPS configurations based on the control message, where each of the at least two activated SPS configurations is used to transmit corresponding service data. In embodiments of the present invention, at least two SPS configurations can be simultaneously performed, thereby improving service data transmission efficiency.

Abstract: This application discloses a grant-free transmission method, a terminal device, and a network device. The method includes: sending, by a terminal device, control information to a network device on a grant-free transmission resource; and receiving, by the terminal device, feedback information that is sent by the network device based on the control information. In this way, the terminal device sends the control information to the network device on the grant-free transmission resource, so that in a data transmission process, the terminal device can obtain a transmission parameter or resource information and properly adjust the transmission process of the terminal device in a timely manner.

Abstract: A method at a network node of a radio access network (RAN) for managing a context of a user equipment (UE) operating in an inactive mode, the method comprising: receiving, from a second network node, a context retrieval request comprising a UE identifier and a first message, the first message being protected with a first cryptographic key; validating the first message using a stored cryptographic key associated with a UE context indicated by the UE identifier; and sending a context retrieval response message to the second network node containing a relocation indication of whether the UE context is to be relocated to the second network node.
