    Abstract: An acoustic wave detector detects photoacoustic waves generated by absorbing measurement light emitted toward a subject, and reflected acoustic waves with respect to acoustic waves transmitted toward the subject. A preamplifier amplifies a detection signal output by the acoustic wave detector. A bypass unit is intended to output the detection signal without passing through the preamplifier. Controller causes the preamplifier to enter an operating state and selects a first path along which the detection signal is amplified by the preamplifier and then is input to the reception circuit as a signal path in a case where the photoacoustic waves are detected. The controller stops an amplification operation in the preamplifier and selects a second path along which the detection signal is input to the reception circuit via a bypass unit as the signal path in a case where reflected acoustic waves are detected.

    Abstract: Provided is an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus capable of synchronizing emission of light from a light source device emitting light for generating a photoacoustic wave and reception in an ultrasound probe with high accuracy. The ultrasound diagnostic apparatus includes a sub-controller that has a synchronization signal generation unit and controls an ultrasound probe based on a first synchronization signal generated by the synchronization signal generation unit, an image generation unit that generates an ultrasound image based on a signal detected by the ultrasound probe, and a connector that has a synchronization signal line for transmitting a second synchronization signal generated in the synchronization signal generation unit and outputs the second synchronization signal to the outside through the synchronization signal line. The connector is configured such that a photoacoustic wave light source unit emitting light incident on a puncture needle having a photoacoustic wave generation unit is connectable.

    Abstract: An X-ray imaging system includes an X-ray imaging apparatus and an access controller, which controls communication access of the X-ray imaging apparatus having an electronic cassette for forming an X-ray image and wirelessly transmitting the X-ray image. Before the electronic cassette starts transmitting the X-ray image, a priority request signal for priority of the first radio communication channel to the electronic cassette over a portable terminal device of radio communication is received. Upon receiving the priority request signal, presence of the portable terminal device is checked, in which a radio communication channel of overlap of frequency on the first radio communication channel is used. In presence of the portable terminal device with the overlap, the portable terminal device is regulated in communication regulation while the electronic cassette transmits the X-ray image. Also, the X-ray imaging apparatus is communicable by use of a communication network in wireless communication connection.

    Abstract: An ultrasound system (1) includes an ultrasound probe (2), a mobile information terminal (3), and an external apparatus (4). The ultrasound probe (2) includes a transmission and reception circuit (22) that transmits an ultrasonic wave from a transducer array (21) and generates a sound ray signal, and a reception data generation unit that generates reception data before imaging based on the sound ray signal. The mobile information terminal (3) includes a camera unit (33) that acquires a view image. The external apparatus (4) includes a display controller (44) that displays an ultrasound image generated based on the reception data and the view image on an external monitor (45), and an input device (47). In a case where a probe freeze instruction is input from the input device (47), the transmission of the ultrasonic wave from the transducer array (21) is stopped.

    Abstract: Provided is a solid-state laser device in which a linear resonator including an output mirror and a rear mirror, a laser rod, and optical members are provided on a common base and are contained in a housing having the base as a portion. A holding part is provided to hold an excitation light source that extends parallel to the laser rod on a side of the laser rod opposite to the base. The optical members including a Q-switch are disposed between the laser rod and the rear mirror. An upper end position of the output mirror is at a position lower than a lower end position of the excitation light source held by the holding part, with the base as a reference. The holding part holds the excitation light source so as to be capable of being inserted and extracted with respect to the output mirror side in a longitudinal direction of the excitation light source.
