Abstract:
Attributes of a seismic data set that are indicative of the quality of the seismic data are displayed in a quality control (QC) hypercube. The axes of the hypercube may be the source position, the source line, the receiver position and a processing step. In a pre-migration QC cube, two of the three axes of the cube are defined by the locations of seismic data. In a migrated QC cube, two of the three axes are defined by the migrated output bin position of processed seismic data. The third axis of the cube contains information about the quality of the data. The QC attributes may be simple amplitudes, or they may be attributes derived from the amplitudes of the seismic data, such as RMS values and/or spectral values. In a migrated QC cube, the attributes may include seismic velocity, seismic fold and distribution of source-receiver azimuths.
Abstract:
A water-soluble or water-dispersible material for deposition onto a fabric substrate during a treatment process. The material comprises a &bgr;1-4-linked polysaccharide structure having at least one substituent benefit agent group and optionally, one or more other substituent groups. The average degree of substitution of all substituent groups is from 0.01 to 1.2, preferably from 0.1 to 1.2, more preferably from 0.4 to 1.2. The polysaccharide structure has one or more regions with at least 3, preferably at least 4 consecutive unsubstituted saccharide rings.
Abstract:
A free-flowing granular polymer composition suitable for incorporation into a particulate detergent composition comprises a defined dye-transfer-inhibiting polymer, preferably poly(4-vinylpyridine) sodium carboxymethyl betaine chloride, and a silica-based carrier material. A preferred carrier material is an acidic silica. The silica-based carrier material may optionally comprise a solid acid, for example, polyacrylic acid or phthalic acid.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to means and methods for the identification of non-responders to a HER2 inhibitor, whereby one or more mutations in exon 9 of Phosphoinositol-3 kinase (PIK3CA) indicate non-responsiveness.
Abstract:
An assembly for mounting an inductive charger base station to an opening in a furniture work surface. The assembly includes a housing for securing the charger base station therein for mounting the base station within the opening, The housing includes a cover and a shoulder which locates within the opening. The cover includes an outer flange which abuts against the work surface. The housing also includes a base connected to the cover. The base includes a first clamping member extending inwardly. The housing includes an interior volume where the charger base station where the base station is located. The assembly also includes a fastening portion with an inner flange abutting against an inner face of the work surface and a second clamping member extending from the inner flange.
Abstract:
A light comprises a lamp and an integrated inductive charger for coupling to a device having an inductive charger receiver connected thereto. The inductive charger receiver receives an electrical charge to charge a battery in the device. The lamp of the light provides illumination. The integrated inductive charger and the lamp are both electrically connected to a power supply. The integrated inductive charger can charge the battery in the device when the lamp is turned off. The lamp can be turned on without the integrated inductive charger providing an electrical charge. Alternatively, the integrated inductive charger can charge the battery in the device while the lamp is also turned on.
Abstract:
A computer based digital transcription system employs audio and video inputs of a court proceeding, and stores the digital signals in a memory in the form of distinct file segments of a predetermined time length during each recording session. The computer associates a date and time and a third identifier, such as location, with each distinct file segment. Playback of any desired segment may be effected during recording or at any time afterward; and playback does not interfere with the recording of realtime information.
Abstract:
A cosmetic composition is provided comprising (a) metal oxide particles; and (b) greater than 1.7% by weight of the cosmetic composition of cross-linked organopolysiloxane elastomer, wherein organo-functionalised silicone fibrils are bonded to and extend away from the surface of the metal oxide particles.
Abstract:
A suspension control system for a vehicle having a sprung mass and an unsprung mass comprises a hydraulic actuator connected between the sprung mass and the unsprung mass, and a hydraulic circuit communicating the actuator with a pump and a reservoir. The hydraulic circuit includes an on-off valve assembly which controls the actuator. The system further comprises sensors for sensing inputs to the vehicle, and a controller for providing a demand signal in response to the sensed inputs. The demand signal indicates a desired motion or resistance to motion of the piston in the actuator to achieve a desired motion or resistance to motion of the sprung mass relative to the unsprung mass. A pulse width modulating circuit provides a PWM control signal for operating the on-off valve assembly in response to the demand signal. The PWM control signal has a duty cycle which is a function of the demand signal.
Abstract:
An active vehicle suspension includes a strut comprising a piston working in a cylinder and movable to compensate for unexpected road inputs to the suspension and for inputs generated by the driver, such an inertial force introduced by braking or cornering. At times when the piston is being moved by the road and driver inputs to compress the strut excess hydraulic fluid is fed from the strut to an accumulator where it is temporarily stored at high pressure and later released back to the strut when it is desired to increase the length of strut. Thus some, and sometimes all, of the energy needed to extend the strut can be supplied by the accumulator rather than a pump. This save energy. The piston has unequal areas and a system of spool valves is provided to control the flow of fluid between the strut, accumulator, and pump.
