Abstract:
A voice call network node communicates advertisements to user terminals of a telecommunications system. The voice call network node includes a voice call handling component and an advertisement insertion component. The voice call handling component responds to a voice call from a caller user terminal by identifying characteristics of the caller user terminal and/or the callee user terminal. The advertisement insertion component communicates voice call profile information through a network to an advertisement service offering node. The voice call profile information identifies characteristics of the caller user terminal and/or the callee user terminal The advertisement insertion component also receives an advertisement from the advertisement service offering node responsive to the communicated voice call profile information, and communicates the advertisement to the caller user terminal and/or to the callee user terminal Related advertisement service offering nodes and user terminals are disclosed.
Abstract:
A publishing method is disclosed, which process enables a publisher to publish in a simple and easy manner a set of content that includes both public content and private content. In some embodiments, this advantageous solution is achieved by implementing a multi-step publishing process. In one step, the publisher publishes a feed that contains: (1) the public content and (2) information advertising the existence of the private content and the scope of the private content. In another step, the publisher stores the private content on a server accessible to the authorized entities.
Abstract:
Methods, electronic resources, and electronic pairing entities are disclosed that control pairing between electronic resources and pairing entities for communications there between. A motion challenge is generated that identifies a physical motion that is to be followed by the pairing entity to obtain pairing to the electronic resource. A motion response by the pairing entity is compared to the motion challenge. Pairing between the pairing entity and the electronic resource is controlled in response to the comparison.

Abstract:
Search processes are improved by modeling a mobile device user's context for a particular mobile search activity. Activity data characterizing usage of the mobile communications device is collected. This data may include the user's usage of the music and video player, including the types of media and specific titles, as well as activity data related to phone calls and other communications activities. The activity information is used by a predictive model to predict search parameters based on recent activity data. The predictive model can provide suggested search parameters, based on the user's recent activity as well as on search-specific user input. In some cases, the predictive model may be used to re-order the search results returned from a conventional search engine, based on the collected activity data.
