摘要: A method of calculating a volume of a drop pendant using a microprocessor. Included in the method are generating a gravity vector based on a direction of gravity with respect to the drop pendant; establishing a reference frame of the drop pendant for an image processing based on a reference point of the drop pendant and the gravity vector; generating a first reference line associated with the reference frame for representing an actual orientation of the drop pendant; generating a second reference line associated with the reference frame for representing a longitudinal axis of a chamber in which the drop pendant is located; comparing the first and second reference lines with respect to the gravity vector; and calculating the volume of the drop pendant based on the comparison of the first and second reference lines and the gravity vector.

The drip chamber includes a space enclosed by the interior wall and the first and second ends. The hydrophobic portion of the interior surface repels liquid contacting the hydrophobic coating. The hydrophobic portion of the interior surface enables light to refract through the hydrophobic portion and the wall in the same manner as is the case when the hydrophobic portion is not present on the interior surface.

摘要: An optical imaging system for use with an infusion tube including: at least one light source for emitting at least two of first, second, or third spectrums of light; an optics system including a single lens for receiving and transmitting at least two of the first spectrum light transmitted through a first portion of the chamber, the second spectrum light transmitted through a second portion of the chamber, or the third spectrum light transmitted through a third portion of the chamber. The system includes a sensor receiving the at least two of the spectrums from the lens and generating and transmitting data characterizing the at least two of the spectrums. The system includes a memory element storing computer readable instructions and a processor to execute the instructions to generate, using the data, at least two of first, second, or third images of the first, second, and third portions, respectively.

摘要: An optical imaging assembly configured to obtain an image of an object. The assembly includes a light-transmissive sleeve arranged on an optical axis and configured to enclose the object. Four refractive elements are arranged in series on the optical axis and each have an input surface and an output surface. An aperture stop is disposed on the optical axis between the third and fourth refractive elements. The input surface of the third refractive element, the output surface of the third refractive element, the input surface of the fourth refractive element, the output surface of the fourth refractive element, of a combination of the foregoing have radial symmetry.
