Seen in profile cross-section, the insulated conductor (50) includes a copper conductor, an inner semiconductor, an insulation and an outer semiconductor and is produced in an extrusion device (90) having an appropriately assigned crosslinking section (40). To achieve an even distribution of the two semiconductor layers and of the insulation layer, the insulated conductor (50) is radiated through immediately at the outlet from the crosslinking section (40) and a correction of the die setting in the extrusion device is carried out by means of values thus determined.

摘要： The invention relates to an apparatus for the metering of liquid media, especially varnish, of differing viscosity in an offset printing machine. Exchangeable metering subassemblies are assigned to a form cylinder. The first metering subassembly provided for processing low-viscosity media consists of a reservoir, a dipping roller, a metering roller and the form cylinder. The second metering subassembly for processing higher-viscosity media consists of a chamber doctor, a screened applicator roller and the form cylinder. In a further version, both metering subassemblies are assigned permanently to the form cylinder. Depending on the media to be processed, the necessary subassemblies are engaged with the form cylinder and the other subassembly is disengaged from the form cylinder.

摘要： A method and apparatus for washing printing press form cylinders and associated applicator rollers in a manner which reduces the drying of quick-drying media, such as varnish or ink, on the applicator roller and form cylinder. The washing device is disposed in a nip between the form cylinder and applicator roller and has two curved surfaces disposed in closely adjacent relation to respective surfaces of the form cylinder and applicator roller. Each curved surface has a spray device for directing a cleaning fluid onto the adjacent form cylinder and applicator roller and a suction-extraction device for removing sprayed cleaning fluid and removed ink and impurities. The method and apparatus may be selectively operated in a print-on mode in which a cleaning fluid is sprayed onto the rotating form cylinder and is suction-extracted from its outer surface. When printing is switched off, the method and apparatus may be operated in a print-off mode in which cleaning fluid is sprayed onto the rotating applicator roller and onto the rotating form cylinder, with the applicator roller is separated from the form cylinder.

摘要： A device for transferring recumbent hospital patients from one location to another is constructed with a platform assembly mounted on a support member to be moveable within a horizontal transfer plane between two end positions equidistantly located on opposite sides of the support member. The platform assembly includes a pair of superposed rectangular separator plates each having a conveyor apron trained thereabout. Drive means are provided for shifting the platform assembly between its end positions within the horizontal transfer plane and also for selectively driving the conveyor aprons. The separator plates have attached thereto lateral check members extending along the sides of the platform assembly in directions parallel to the directions of movement of the assembly. Guide devices are mounted on opposite sides of the support member and arranged in engagement with the lateral cheek members of the platform assembly in order to guide the assembly for shifting movement within the horizontal transfer plane. The guide members and the lateral cheek members are constructed to enable movement of the platform assembly within the horizontal transfer plane between the two opposed end positions of movement which are located generally equidistantly on opposite sides of the main support member so that the horizontal transfer plane is defined to extend generally symmetrically relative to the support member. The support member is formed with a width dimension taken parallel to the direction of movement of the platform assembly which is less than one-half, and preferably within the range between one-third and one-sixth, of the width dimension of the platform assembly taken in the direction parallel to the direction of movement of the assembly.

An object of the invention is to provide stable quality during the coating process and to reduce contamination of coating fluids. This is achieved by providing at least one coating unit being arranged downstream of the printing units, the coating unit including a cleaning system. More specifically, each of the coating units has a rotatable applicator roller, a metering system for applying coating fluid to the applicator roller, and a cleaning wiper system which is movable into and out of contact with the applicator roller. The cleaning wiper is arranged upstream of the metering system relative to a direction of rotation of the applicator roller.
