A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having formed thereon at least one red-sensitive emulsion layer, at least one green-sensitive emulsion layer, and at least one blue-sensitive emulsion layer is disclosed. The material cotains a novel combination of cyan, magenta, and yellow couplers and has improved color forming properties, color reproducibility, and image preservability.

A color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer containing therein a coupler represented by the following general formula (I):Q-B (I)wherein Q represents a coupler residue capable of forming a magenta color image upon the coupling reaction with an oxidation product of a developing agent; and B represents a group containing an unsubstituted or substituted methylenedioxybenzene group.The magenta coupler containing a methylenedioxybenzene group is useful in preventing the formation of yellow stain due to light irradiation in unexposed areas of a color photographic light-sensitive material after color development processing. Color images formed from the coupler are resistant to fading even if the color images obtained after color development processing are irradiated with light.

A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support base having provided thereon a fine grain silver halide emulsion layer and, positioned adjacent to the fine grain silver halide emulsion layer, a silver halide emulsion layer containing a coupler. The coupler is a phenolic cyan coupler substituted at the 5-position with an acylamino group and at the 2-position with an ureido group. The material has high sensitivity and good granularity. The material produces an image which has excellent fastness to light and heat.

A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material containing particles of a coupler solution, comprising a cyan dye forming coupler represented by the following general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein A represents a cyan coupler residue, but the --NHCO-- group does not bond to A in the active position of A; R.sup.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group; and n represents an integer of 1 to 3, and when n is 2 or more R.sup.3 may be the same or different, and a coupler solvent having a dielectric constant of 2.5 to 5. The silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material provides a color image having good fastness to heat and light as well as excellent color reproducibility.

The dyes formed from the cyan color-forming couplers have unusually good spectral absorption properties and exceptional fastness to light and heat.

Abstract:
A method of treating photographic processing wastes is disclosed. The method comprises (1) mixing a silver-recovery system waste and a development system waste from photographic processing to produce a waste mixture, (2) adding to said waste mixture phosphorus as a nutritive substrate in an amount corresponding to at least 2% based on the COD value of the waste mixture, and (3) subjecting the resulting waste mixture to a bio-oxidation treatment using microflora containing sulfur-oxidizing bacteria. The method enables a continuously treatment of high concentration photographic processing wastes with high efficiency over a long period of time.

A silver halide color photographic material containing the combination of cyan couplers of formula (I) and cyan couplers of formula (II). The photographic material provides a dye image excellent in fastness and color reproducibility and free from white background stains. The photographic material undergoes substantially no reduction in density even when processed with a bleaching solution with weak oxidizing capacity or a fatigued bleaching solution.
