    摘要: A non-hydroquinone photographic developer composition comprising:(a) a developer selected from the group consisting of ascorbic acid and sugar-type derivatives thereof, or alkali metal salts and mixtures thereof, in an amount of 0.1 to 0.4 mol/liter (mol/l);(b) an effective amount of an auxiliary developing agent comprising a 3-pyrazolidone compound, an aminophenol or a mixture thereof;(c) an alkali metal sulfite in an amount less than or equal to 0.32 mol/l;(d) an alkali metal carbonate in an amount of 0.1 to 0.4 mol/l;(e) an alkali metal hydroxide in an amount of from 0.08 to 2.0 mols/l;(f) with the developer composition having a pH of 11.8 or higher at 25° C.; and(g) the developer composition does not contain an alkanolamine or contains an alkanolamine in an amount of less than 5 g/l; where the developer composition is useful for processing standard rapid access films while showing an especially advantageous effect in the processing of silver halide emulsions containing a hydrazine compound to achieve lith quality, and high dot quality in a stable development solution.

    摘要: Disclosed is a photographic element comprising a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a pyrazol-5-one coupler bearing a 4-aryloxy coupling-off group containing a group capable of releasing a photographically useful group (PUG) wherein:(1) the pyrazol-5-one ring contains a 1-aryl substituent which in turn contains, in a position ortho to the bond linking it to the pyrazolone ring, a secondary carbonamido group or a secondary sulfonamido group;(2) the pyrazol-5-one ring contains either (a) a 3-aryl substituent which in turn contains substituents for which the sum of the Hammett's .sigma. constant values is -0.3 or higher or (b) a 3-alkyl substituent; and(3) the 4-aryloxy coupling-off group:(a) contains ring substituents selected so that the sum of the Hammett's .sigma. constant values for all substituents on the phenoxy ring is at least 0.4 but does not contain a nitro substituent in the ortho position, and:(b) contains in at least one position ortho or para to the oxygen atom bonding the aryloxy group to the pyrazolone ring a substituent comprising a tetrahedral carbon atom bonded to a PUG or to another timing group which timing group is in turn bonded to a PUG directly or through a further timing group; andprovided that substituents may join to form one or more additional rings.

    摘要: A colour photographic recording material, comprising of a transparent film base, red-sensitive, green-sensitive and blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer units which are disposed thereon and which contain colour couplers, and optionally of further light-insensitive layers, wherein the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer unit comprises at least two green-sensitive partial layers, the partial layer of which which is furthest from the film base has the highest sensitivity and is situated further from the film base than is each partial layer of the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer unit, and wherein each partial layer of the blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer unit is situated further from the film base than is the highest-sensitivity partial layer of the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer unit, contains, in the highest-sensitivity partial layer of the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer unit, an organic yellow dye which can be decolorised during processing; the light-insensitive binder layer adjacent thereto on the side remote from the film base contains no silver halide development nuclei and contains substantially no dye which can be decolorised during processing.
