    摘要: An imaging apparatus mounted on a vehicle and imaging a vicinity of the vehicle, includes a photographic lens, an image pickup device, an accident detection sensor, an image processing section, and a recording section. The image pickup device generates an image signal by performing photoelectric conversion of an object image based on a light flux from the photographic lens. The accident detection sensor detects an accident occurrence based on a shock to the vehicle. The image processing section generates first accident image data and second accident image data which photograph the same accident situation at an accident occurrence, based on the image signal. The recording section records the first accident image data and the second accident image data in different states of security levels regarding data credibility, respectively.

    摘要: A camera is provided with a face detecting section, a focusing section, an area specifying section, and a controlling section. The face detecting section detects a face area within a shooting image plane. The focusing section has plural optional areas within the shooting image plane. Further, the focusing section obtains an image phase difference amount of a pair of images based on luminous flux having passed through a shooting lens in each of the optional areas. The area specifying section specifies a focusing area from among the optional areas corresponding to the face area. Further, the area specifying section changes a method of specifying the focusing area in accordance with the size of the face area. The controlling section performs a focusing operation of the shooting lens on the basis of the image phase difference amount in the focusing area.

    摘要: A face detecting section of a camera detects a face area in a shooting screen under an output of an image sensor. A focus detecting section calculates a defocus amount from a relative interval of a pair of images under an optical flux passed through a shooting lens in each of optional areas in the shooting screen. A first focus controlling section specifies a focus detecting area from the optional areas under an output of the face detecting section, and performs a focus operation under the defocus amount of the focus detecting area. A second focus controlling section calculates a focus evaluation value in the face area under an output of the image sensor, and performs a focus operation by using the focus evaluation value. A control section causes at least one of the first focus controlling section and the second focus controlling section to perform a focus operation.
