    Abstract: The motor vehicle camera housing assembly comprises first and second housing parts that define an inner space and joining means for joining housing parts together including a sheet material wound more than one turn around the housing assembly. The sheet material has a support layer and at least one adhesive layer adhered to respective outer surfaces of the housing parts at least partially filling a gap formed in an overlapping portion defined by two edges of the sheet material when wound on the housing parts such that they are sealingly joined together.

    Abstract: A device for capturing optical information configured for being installed in a recess of an exterior surface of a vehicle, comprising at least an imaging means configured for obtaining optical information of the surroundings of the vehicle.     Abstract: Video displayers are provided for detecting image freezing in a video displayer with a multi-layer panel including a front layer and a pixel layer emitting pixel light in emitting direction towards the front layer. Front layer and pixel layer are configured to let light through. Video displayers further include a light reflector arranged in the multi-layer panel between pixel layer and front layer to reflect the pixel light from pixel layer in reflection direction towards pixel layer; a light sensor arranged to receive the reflected pixel light at receiving location and sense light variations in received reflected pixel light; and a control unit to receive light variations sensed by light sensor and to detect image freezing depending on received sensed light variations. Methods and computer programs implementing such methods are also provided which are performable by proposed video displayers.

    Abstract: A camera monitoring system for motor vehicles is provided. An image capturing device is provided on a mounting assembly of the vehicle for an exterior field of view (FOV) of the vehicle extending sideward and rearward outside the vehicle and encompassing a portion of the exterior part of the vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) is connected to the image capturing device to obtain a captured image. An electronic display device is connected to the ECU and is located inside the vehicle and to be used by a driver. A gesture detector is configured to obtain at least one position of at least one part of the driver's body. The ECU is configured to adjust the FOV based on the obtained position and the display device is configured to display the adjusted FOV in a displayed image region, which can be moved within the captured image.

    Abstract: A method for calibrating a camera of a vehicle is provided. The method comprises: generating a camera calibration matrix comprising a first, a second and a third column, wherein the first column of the camera calibration matrix is obtained based on the obtained focus of expansion points, the third column of the camera calibration matrix is obtained based on the obtained plane normal vectors and a second column of the camera calibration matrix corresponding to the cross-product of the first and the third column of the camera calibration matrix is obtained. Then, the camera is calibrated using the obtained camera calibration matrix.
