Abstract: A display assembly for an imaging device including a display panel, a display, a first control unit, a second control unit and a thermally insulating layer, and a housing. The thermally insulating layer divides the housing in at least a first cavity including the first control unit and a second cavity including the second control unit. The thermally insulating layer preventing heat generated in the first cavity or the second cavity from reaching the other cavity and including an electrically conductive material to at least partially shield electromagnetic radiation generated in the first or the second cavity from reaching the other cavity.

Abstract: A camera assembly for motor vehicles comprises a housing with at least one opening for receiving a connector-adapter, an image sensor connected to an electronics carrier provided within the housing, and an insulating member within the housing defining at least a first and second chamber. The electronics carrier is intersected by the insulating member preventing matter from passing from the first chamber to the second chamber. The assembling method comprises deposition of insulating material within the housing to form an insulating member and fitting of the electronics carrier within the housing such that the electronics carrier is intersected by the insulating member.

Abstract: A camera monitoring system for motor vehicles is provided. An image capturing device is provided on a mounting assembly of the vehicle for an exterior field of view (FOV) of the vehicle extending sideward and rearward outside the vehicle and encompassing a portion of the exterior part of the vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) is connected to the image capturing device to obtain a captured image. An electronic display device is connected to the ECU and is located inside the vehicle and to be used by a driver. A gesture detector is configured to obtain at least one position of at least one part of the driver's body. The ECU is configured to adjust the FOV based on the obtained position and the display device is configured to display the adjusted FOV in a displayed image region, which can be moved within the captured image.

Abstract: The motor vehicle camera assembly includes a first housing part, a second housing part, and an attaching mechanism for attaching the first and second housing parts together defining an inner space for receiving at least an electronics carrier. The attaching mechanism is configured such that, when the first and second housing parts are attached to each other, the first housing part contacts at least one portion of a first surface of the electronics carrier and the second housing part contacts at least one portion of a second surface of the electronics carrier. The first housing part may be coupled to the second housing part with the electronics carrier being tightly sandwiched there between.
