    Abstract: A high speed sampling apparatus based on multiplexed charged coupled devices or sample and hold devices (18) utilises a microprocessor (20) to monitor timing differences between clock signals, each used to clock a respective one of the devices and a reference signal to control a variable timing delay (12, 13, 14) whereby to calibrate each of the devices (18). The control of the variable timing delay (12, 13, 14) is achieved by a digital/analogue converter (15) and additionally, a mark to space ratio control of the variable timing delay is also provided using a digital/analogue converter (16).

    Abstract: An enhanced differential pair amplifier circuit 28, 30 is described which provides a linearity correction technique. The linearity correction technique is designed to compensate for nonlinearities in the base-to-emitter output voltage of each transistor in a differential pair of transistors over the dynamic input range of the amplifier.     Abstract: The bottle-sealing and preservation device provides for the sealing of necked bottles, including those designed to hold pressure such as champagne bottles, using mechanical advantage to compress an O-ring against the inner surface of the bottle neck. The device can accommodate a wide range of bottle-neck diameters and includes a stabilizing ring that engages the bottle mouth. Optionally, the device may be fitted with a cylindrical cage in which an oxygen-scavenging sachet may be inserted to pull oxygen out of the bottle headspace, thereby preserving any remaining liquid therein that is susceptible to oxidation.

    Abstract: Packages and methods of packaging a plurality of glass sheets provide a stack of glass sheets with an interleaf protective sheet positioned between each adjacent pair of glass sheets. An outer portion of each interleaf protective sheet is bent over a portion of the peripheral edge of one of a corresponding adjacent pair of glass sheets to discourage relative shifting of the glass sheets with respect to one another.
