Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, and systems for predicting a location of a device in a spatial environment using a machine learning model. An example method generally includes measuring a plurality of signals received from a network entity at a device. A channel state information (CSI) measurement is generated from the measured plurality of signals. Generally, the CSI measurement includes a multipath component. Positions of one or more anchors in a spatial environment are identified based on a machine learning model trained to identify the positions of the one or more anchors based on the CSI measurement. A location of the device is estimated based on the identified positions of the one or more anchors.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for group reporting of UE receive-transmit (Rx-Tx) time difference measurements for multi-RTT positioning. A plurality of downlink reference signals (DL RSs) are received from a plurality of transmission reception points (TRPs). A corresponding plurality of uplink reference signals (UL RSs) are transmitted to the plurality of TRPs. One or more numerology factors are determined for the plurality of TRPs. A measurement report is generated for the plurality of TRPs based on the numerology factors. The measurement report is transmitted to a network entity. The measurement report includes UE receive-transmit (Rx-Tx) time difference measurements for at least two of the TRPs.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for improved machine learning using private variational dropout. A set of parameters of a global machine learning model is updated based on a local data set, and the set of parameters is pruned based on pruning criteria. A noise-augmented set of gradients is computed for a subset of parameters remaining after the pruning, based in part on a noise value, and the noise-augmented set of gradients is transmitted to a global model server.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) receiving a configuration message from a base station for supporting random access channel (RACH) type selection by the UE. The configuration message may include one or more reference signals and one or more link quality thresholds corresponding to the one or more reference signals. The UE may generate measurements of the reference signals and determine link quality for communications between the UE and the base station based on the measurements. Based on a comparison between the link quality to corresponding link quality thresholds, the UE may select a two-step random access procedure, a four-step random access procedure, or both for establishing a connection with the base station. In some cases, the UE considers system loading information, transmission parameters, or random access rules in selecting the random access procedure.

The differential RTT based positioning procedure has much looser inter-gNodeB timing synchronization requirements than the OTDOA technique and also has much looser group delay requirements than traditional RTT procedures.
