Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a beam correspondence between a set of synchronization signals transmitted by a base station and an uplink positioning reference signal. The UE may receive a synchronization signal from a base station and determine a transmit beam for the UE to use to transmit the uplink positioning reference signal based on the received synchronization signal and the identified beam correspondence. The UE may then transmit the uplink positioning reference signal using the determined transmit beam. A base station may identify a beam correspondence between a set of synchronization signals and an uplink positioning reference signal, and transmit an indication of the beam correspondence. The base station may then receive the uplink positioning reference signal from a UE based on the transmitted indication of the beam correspondence.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to techniques for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction based on a tone reservation (TR) algorithm. For a TR algorithm, a suitable subset of tones from among a full set of tones in a given resource allocation are reserved for use as peak reduction tones (PRT). An apparatus such as a transmission/reception point receives a set of one or more PRT sequences and stores them in memory. The transmission/reception point then determines a set of PRTs based on one or more later-received PRT sequence selection parameters. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

The UE may interleave the coded bits to form one or more interleaved encoded bit sequences of the one or more codeblocks. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, the method may include a user equipment (UE) transmitting, to a base station, first reference signals. The base station may perform channel estimation using the first reference signals and estimate a value for an uplink channel based on the channel estimation. The base station may generate second reference signals such that a characteristic of a downlink channel seen by the UE is within a target value and transmit the second reference signals to the UE. The UE may estimate a value for the characteristic of the downlink channel and obtain the target value from the estimated value. Both the UE and the base station may generate a secret using the target value and utilize the secret key for physical layer protection.

A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, a configuration indicating resources for a first repetition and a second repetition in a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). In certain aspects, the method may also include transmitting the first repetition, wherein the first repetition includes a larger symbol length than the second repetition, the resources for the first repetition multiplex a plurality of transmissions from first UEs including the UE, the resources for the second repetition multiplex a plurality of transmissions from second UEs, and a quantity of the first UEs is larger than a quantity of the second UEs.
