Abstract: A video capture device within a physical space captures an initial video stream of first and second conference participants within the physical space. Data indicative of first and second regions of interest of the initial video stream are transmitted to a computing device. The first and second regions of interest are respectively associated with the first and second conference participants. First and second video streams associated with the first and second regions of interest are captured at normalized resolutions according to instructions received from the computing device. The first and second video streams are transmitted for output within separate user interface tiles of a conferencing software user interface. The first and second video streams conform sizes and quality levels of the first and second conference participants respectively within first and second user interface tiles of the conferencing software user interface.

Abstract: A system and method for optimizing a display layout of multiple video streams at a sink device is provided. The display layout of multiple streams may be dynamically optimized based on a number of different variables, including characteristics of the sink device, total number of active incoming streams, active audio, and other characteristics of the source material or device. The source of an incoming media stream may contain useful characteristics for optimizing the display layout of multiple media streams. One such characteristic of a source device may include the device type, such as laptop, PC, phone, or tablet. Information may be extracted from each incoming stream in order to predict a source device type from which the incoming media stream originates.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, from a client system associated with a user, a user request comprising a reference to a target object, accessing visual data from the client system, wherein the visual data comprises images portraying the target object and one or more additional objects, and wherein attribute information of the target object is recorded in a multimodal dialog state, resolving the reference to the target object based on the attribute information recorded in the multimodal dialog state, determining relational information between the target object and one or more of the additional objects portrayed in the visual data, and sending, to the client system, instructions for presenting a response to the user request, wherein the response comprises the attribute information and the determined relational information.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a user input comprising a natural-language utterance by an assistant xbot from a client system associated with a user, determining a semantic representation of the user input based on a structural ontology defining a labeling syntax for parsing the natural-language utterance to semantic units comprising actions, objects, and attributes, wherein the semantic representation embeds at least one object within at least one action and declares at least one attribute of the embedded object to be acted upon, sending a request based on the semantic representation to an agent for executing a task corresponding to the user input, receiving results of the executed task mapped to a structure determined by the structural ontology from the agent, and sending from the assistant xbot to the client system instructions for presenting a response based on the results of the executed task.

Abstract: Systems and methods for assessing similarity of documents are provided. Embodiments of the systems and methods include extracting a reference document text from a reference document, extracting an archived document text from an archived document, and quantifying the reference document and the archived document. The systems and methods may also include determining a document similarity value of the quantified reference document and the archived document. Determining the document similarity value includes calculating a set of vector similarity values for a set of combinations of a reference document text vector and an archived document text vector, and calculating the document similarity value, including a sum of the plurality of vector similarity values.

Abstract: Automated capture of image data for points of interest may be implemented for points of interest in an environment external to a vehicle. Sensors implemented as part of a vehicle may collect sensor data for an environment. Processing of the sensor data may be performed to detect points of interest in the environment. In response to detecting a point of interest, image data may be captured by one or more of the sensors implemented at the vehicle. Different types of image data may be captured, such as panoramic images and three-dimensional reconstructions of a scene. Metadata may be generated for captured image data which may describe the point of interest that is captured by the image data. The image data and the metadata may be stored locally at the vehicle or to a remote data store. The image data may also be shared with other computing devices.

Abstract: A multi-layer technology stack includes a sensor layer including image sensors, a device layer, and a cloud layer, with interfaces between the layers. A method to curate different custom workflows for multiple applications include the following. Requirements for custom sets of data packages for the applications is received. The custom set of data packages include sensor data packages (e.g., SceneData) and contextual metadata packages that contextualize the sensor data packages (e.g., SceneMarks). Based on the received requirements and capabilities of components in the technology stack, the custom workflow for that application is deployed. This includes a selection, configuration and linking of components from the technology stack. The custom workflow is implemented in the components of the technology stack by transmitting workflow control packages directly and/or indirectly via the interfaces to the different layers.
