Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided through which a first node transmits, to a second node, a first message include a radio resource control (RRC) message associated with a terminal and an identifier allocated to the terminal to identify the terminal over an interface. The first node receives, from the second node, a second message including an identifier allocated to the terminal, an identifier of a data radio bearer, and uplink tunnel information. The first node transmits, to the second node, a third message including downlink tunnel information. The first node includes a radio link control (RLC) layer, a medium access control (MAC) layer, and a physical (PHY) layer. The second node includes an RRC layer and a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure propose a method performed at a first node for transmitting data, comprising: receiving downlink data to be transmitted to a User Equipment (UE) in a non-connected state; and determining whether to buffer the downlink data. The method further comprises: when it is determined that the downlink data is to be buffered, if the first node is a first type of node, determining that a paging procedure is not to be initiated for the UE in the non-connected state, or if the first node is a second type of node, notifying the second node that the downlink data has been buffered, so that the second node determines that the paging procedure is not to be initiated for the UE in the non-connected state. There are further provided a method performed at a second node and corresponding devices and storage media.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The disclosure provides a method and apparatus for configuring a relay node. A first node transmits to a second node a message that carries information on a radio bearer for a user accessing the second node. Configuration of the radio bearer for data transmission in a multi-hop network is realized through the above method and apparatus.

Abstract: A method for supporting fast recovery of a User Equipment (UE) includes performing, by a serving base station, UE context synchronization for one or more other base stations in a related small cell cluster when a UE accesses the serving base station, performing, by a base station that the UE performs a radio resource control (RRC) connection re-establishment, the RRC connection re-establishment for the UE according to UE context saved in a synchronization process. The present also discloses another method and system for supporting UE fast recovery. By applying the technical solution disclosed by the present disclosure, when the UE moves in a small cell scenario, the UE can be recovered quickly in the case of a failure, so as to avoid the UE returns to an idle mode, avoid data loss, guarantee business continuity, and improve UE experience.
