    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may receive a first stage wakeup signal (WUS) indicating to monitor for a second stage WUS using a low power radio. For example, the first stage WUS may indicate whether to monitor one or more upcoming monitoring occasions for the second stage WUS using the low power radio. The UE may receive the second stage WUS based on receiving the indication included in the first stage WUS. The second stage WUS may indicate for the UE to activate a main radio to monitor for a control channel to receive data transmitted by the network entity. Based on receiving the second stage WUS, the UE may activate the main radio and receive data from the network entity.

    Abstract: An apparatus (e.g., a transmitter) may transmit a message and one or more retransmissions of the message in a wireless communication network. The message may include a codeword that includes information bits and error correction bits (e.g., parity bits). The one or more retransmissions may include error correction bits associated with the information bits. To improve the decoding performance at a receiver, the transmitter may apply probabilistic shaping to the one or more retransmissions. In some aspects, the apparatus transmits a first message including information bits and a first set of error correction bits associated with the information bits. The apparatus transmits at least a second message associated with the first message, wherein the second message includes a second set of error correction bits associated with the information bits and a set of probabilistic shaping bits for the second set of error correction bits.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Energy harvesting (EH)-capable devices may harvest energy from different sources, such as a radio frequency sources or environmental conditions such as solar energy. The consumed energy by the EH-capable device may be dependent on a task type and the properties of the EH-capable device. Processing of data symbols, demodulation reference signal symbols, and control symbols may involve different energy costs at the EH-capable device. An EH-capable device configured with multiple slot formats may report to the network the immediate energy status and capabilities of the EH-capable device and/or respective energy costs for the EH-capable device for each of the slot formats. The network may schedule communications involving the EH-capable device (e.g., sidelink communications, uplink communications, or downlink communications) based on the energy costs for the EH-capable device for the multiple slot formats and/or the energy status of the EH-capable device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Wireless communications systems may employ one or more scheduling constraints to support efficient utilization of techniques for intra-device handling of overlapping scheduled uplink transmissions (e.g., intra-device dynamic resource cancelation and multiplexing) as well as inter-device handling of overlapping scheduled uplink transmissions (e.g., inter-device dynamic resource cancelation and multiplexing). Scheduling constraints may define how a device may apply intra-device and inter-device multiplexing and cancelation rules for various scenarios. For example, a device may apply intra-UE cancelation rules before inter-device cancelation rules. In some examples, later-received grants or uplink preemption indications (ULPIs) may not change a device's previously established decision to drop an uplink transmission. As another example, a device may not expect to receive a grant for an uplink transmission that would arise in subsequent cancelation of that uplink transmission due to a previously-received grant or previously-received ULPI.
