Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a polar code retransmission method and apparatus, to reduce retransmission complexity and improve transmission performance. The method includes: determining a first polar channel sequence including N polar channels and reliability of each of the N polar channels; determining, based on a coding parameter for an mth data transmission, a quantity Km of information bits that need to be transmitted during the mth data transmission, where the coding parameter includes at least one of the quantity of information bits and a code rate; determining Km polar channels with highest reliability in the first polar channel sequence; determining Km information bits based on locations, of information bits that need to be transmitted during first m−1 data transmissions, in the first polar channel sequence; and mapping the Km information bits to the Km polar channels for transmission.

Abstract: Embodiments of the application provide a method and device for polar code rate matching in a wireless communication network. A device of the network receives a bit sequence of K information bits. The device polar codes the bit sequence to obtain N encoded bits. The device interleaves the encoded bits to obtain N interleaved bits and then stores the N interleaved bits into cyclic cache. The device sequentially outputs M bits of the N interleaved bits from the cyclic cache according to a rate matching manner, wherein the rate matching manner is one of shortening, puncturing or repetition. When the rate matching manner is puncturing, the (N−M+1)th bit to the Nth bit of the interleaved bit sequence are output from the cyclic cache.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure enhance the error detection performance of parallel polar encoding by cross-concatenating parity bits between segments of information bits transmitted over different sets of sub-channels. In one embodiment, a first segment of information bits is transmitted over a first set of sub-channels, and at least a second segment of information bits, and a masked parity bit, are transmitted over a second set of sub-channels. A value of the masked parity bit is equal to a bitwise combination of a first parity bit computed from the first segment of information bits and a second parity bit computed from the second segment of information bits. The bitwise combination may be a bitwise AND, a bitwise OR, or a bitwise XOR of the respective parity bits.

The method includes: a first device first checks a first bit sequence based on a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) code, to obtain a second bit sequence; then divides the second bit sequence into P bit sequences; and generates Q codewords based on the P bit sequences, and sends the Q codewords to a second device through P transport layers. One example method includes generating a first signal and sending a first signal, where the first signal includes an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, a first-type cyclic prefix (CP), and a second-type CP. CP resources of the first-type CP include two types of CP resources: a first CP resource and a second CP resource. CP resources of the second-type CP include one type of CP resource, that is, the second CP resource. The first CP resource may be used to carry data that is different from data carried on the OFDM symbol. The second CP resource may be used to carry data that is the same as the data carried on the OFDM symbol.
