    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to support guard interval (GI) configurations for multiple links. For example, a user equipment (UE) may determine a first GI duration for a first transmission reception point (TRP) and a second GI duration for a second TRP, when the UE is operating in a multi-TRP mode. The UE may determine the GI durations based on a difference in timing between signal reception from the first and second TRPs and may transmit a signal to one or both of the TRPs to indicate the GI durations. Based on the indicated GI durations, the first and second TRPs may transmit signaling to the UE that includes or implements the corresponding GI duration for each TRP. For example, the signaling may include a GI appended at the end of each symbol period that has a GI duration corresponding to the respective TRP.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may configure a set of transmission parts each including different sets of time domain resources or different sets of frequency domain resources, or both, and may specify a waveform type for each of the set of transmission parts. In some examples, the base station may configure the set of transmission parts for a user equipment (UE) and, accordingly, the UE and the base station may communicate over a transmission part of the set of transmission parts via signaling that is based on a waveform type that is associated with the transmission part over which the UE and the base station communicate. The base station may control over which transmission part of the set of transmission parts the UE and the base station communicate via a configured timer or via explicit activation and deactivation signaling.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may determine a phase noise profile and may transmit the phase noise profile to a receiving device. The receiving device may use the phase noise profile and received phase tracking reference signals to more accurately determine phase errors on a wireless channel between the two devices and compensate for the phase noise errors. In examples where the UE transmits the phase noise profile to the base station, the UE may include the phase noise profile in a measurement report or in a radio resource control (RRC) message, among other examples. In examples where the base station transmits the phase noise profile to a UE, the base station may include the phase noise profile in a broadcast message, a unicast message, or an RRC message.

    Abstract: A wireless device (e.g., a UE or a base station) may generate a hybrid symbol including a CP portion, a data portion, and at least one of a header portion or a tail portion. The CP portion may be located at a beginning of the hybrid symbol, and may include one or more CP samples that correspond to a predefined number of samples at an end of the hybrid symbol. The data portion may be located after the header portion or before the tail portion. The header portion may be located after the CP portion, and may include one or more predefined header samples. The tail portion may be located at the end of the hybrid symbol, and may include one or more predefined tail samples. The wireless device may generate a waveform including the generated hybrid symbol. The wireless device may transmit a signal based on the generated waveform.
