Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enhance a HARQ feedback operation to improve data retransmissions by using tri-state HARQ feedback, and may enable a UE to construct a codebook for tri-state HARQ feedback. In one aspect, a UE determines whether tri-state HARQ feedback or bi-state HARQ feedback is configured based on a DL carrier. The UE generates HARQ feedback for at least one of a received PDCCH or a received PDSCH on the DL carrier based on the determination whether the DL carrier is configured with the tri-state HARQ feedback. The UE transmits the generated HARQ feedback.

Abstract: In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may receive an uplink (UL) grant (e.g., dynamic UL grant, UL configured grant (CG)) from a network, but may decide to skip the UL grant altogether or not transmit any user plane data on the UL grant. In such instances, the UE may maintain or expedite expiration associated with one or more timers (e.g., discontinuous reception (DRX) and bandwidth part (BWP) inactivity timers, secondary cell (SCell) deactivation timer, etc.). The UE may also maintain or expedite expiration associated with one or more timers if it receives downlink (DL) transmission (e.g., DL semi-persistent scheduling (SPS)) from the network that includes no user plane data.

Abstract: Monostatic radar with progressive length transmission may be used with half-duplex systems or with full-duplex systems to reduce self-interference. The system transmits a first signal for a first duration and receives a first reflection of the first signal from a first object during a second duration. The system transmits a second signal for a third duration longer than the first duration and receives a second reflection of the second signal from a second object during a fourth duration. The system calculates a position of the first object and the second object based on the first reflection and the second reflection. The first signal, first duration, and second duration are configured to detect reflections from objects within a first distance of the system. The second signal, third duration, and fourth duration are configured to detect reflections from objects between the first distance and a second distance from the system.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclose provide various methods and apparatuses for communicating, controlling, and configuring component carrier and bandwidth part (BWP). A scheduling entity receives a capability report from a user equipment (UE). The capability report indicates a capability of the UE to utilize at least one of carrier aggregation (CA) or one or more bandwidth parts. The scheduling entity transmits a command to the UE to reconfigure at least one of a CA configuration or a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration. The scheduling entity determines an anticipated response timing of an acknowledgment (ACK) of the command based on the capability report received from the UE. The scheduling entity receives the ACK according to the anticipated response timing.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a base station providing a user equipment (UE) with a sticky uplink beam assignment for one or more uplink signals. The UE may use the sticky uplink beam assignment for transmission of uplink signals until a new sticky uplink beam assignment is received. In some examples, the sticky uplink beam assignment may include an uplink beam identifier (ID) identifying an uplink beam associated with the transmission of an uplink signal. The uplink beam identified by the uplink beam ID may be used by the UE for transmission of the uplink signal and either all subsequent uplink signals (e.g., physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and/or physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH)) or subsequent uplink signals of particular uplink channel types (e.g., dynamic PUSCH, configured grant (CG), PUCCH, etc.) until a new uplink beam ID is received. Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless sensing. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) measures at least a line-of-sight (LOS) path and a non-line-of-sight (NLOS) path of a first downlink positioning reference signal (DL-PRS) from a first transmission-reception point (TRP), measures at least an LOS path and an NLOS path of a second DL-PRS from a second TRP, measures at least an LOS path and an NLOS path of a third DL-PRS from a third TRP, and enables a location of a non-participating target object to be determined based, at least in part, on reference signal time difference (RSTD) measurements between a time of arrival (ToA) of the LOS path of the first DL-PRS and the ToAs of the NLOS paths of the first, second, and third DL-PRS. In an aspect, the non-participating target object does not participate in determining its own location.
