Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, via a first cell, downlink control information for physical downlink control channel ordered contention-free random access, wherein the downlink control information indicates a timing advance group of a second cell and one or more parameters associated with a random access message to be transmitted by the UE via the second cell, wherein the first cell and the second cell belong to different timing advance groups. The UE may transmit the random access message via the second cell according to the one or more parameters and a timing advance value determined based at least in part on the timing advance group of the second cell. Numerous other aspects are provided.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a first transmission including encoded bits of a data packet and a second transmission including some or all of the encoded bits of the data packet. The first transmission associated with a first limited buffer rate matching (LBRM) configuration and the second transmission may be associated with a second LBRM configuration. The UE may process the first transmission and the second transmission based on the first LBRM associated with the first transmission being different than the second LBRM associated with the second transmission.

The method may include a user equipment (UE) receiving, from a base station, signaling configuring the UE with a semi-persistent (SP) channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource set. Additionally, the UE may receive, from the base station, signaling configuring the UE to communicate using multicast signaling via a multicast downlink shared channel. The UE may apply a rule and based on the activation command and the rule perform rate matching on the multicast downlink shared channel around either multicast or unicast resources of the CSI-RS resource set.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station over a set of component carriers according to a carrier aggregation configuration. In some cases, the UE may receive an indication of one or more groups of units, where each group may include one or more component carriers and/or one or more time intervals of each component carrier. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) including one or more fields that are common to a group of units that may schedule a set of data transmissions over the one or more groups of units such that the single DCI may schedule multiple component carriers (e.g., two or more) over one or more time intervals. The UE may transmit or receive the set of data transmissions (e.g., uplink or downlink data transmissions) over the scheduled units based on receiving the DCI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for multicast wireless communications are described. A base station may configure a user equipment (UE) for providing feedback for multicast transmissions from the base station while the UE is in an inactive or idle mode. Based on a configuration sent to the UE from the base station, the UE may determine resources or a timing advance (TA) to use for transmission of a feedback message for multicast communications. A base station may configure a UE with multiple TA commands, each corresponding to a TA value and a set of channel metrics associated with group of cells including a serving cell of the UE. Based on measure channel metrics at the UE, the UE may determine a TA to use for multicast feedback. TA values may be determined using neural network modeling.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine whether an uplink communication for a first radio access technology (RAT) has been dynamically scheduled or semi-statically configured, wherein the UE is in a dual connectivity mode using the first RAT and a second RAT. The UE may identify an uplink subframe for transmission of the uplink communication based at least in part on whether the uplink communication has been dynamically scheduled or semi-statically configured, and based at least in part on a downlink-reference uplink-downlink configuration. The UE may transmit the uplink communication in the identified uplink subframe. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a maximum transmission power for an uplink transmission on a first cell of a first cell group (CG) based on a direction of communications (e.g., uplink, downlink, or flexible) with a separate cell of a second CG during a same duration of the uplink transmission and within a same first frequency range, where the direction of communications is either an actual direction or an assumed direction. The UE may receive an uplink grant scheduling the uplink transmission during a symbol and within the first frequency range, determine the maximum transmission power for the UE based on the direction of communications for the separate cell during the symbol and within the first frequency range, and subsequently transmit the uplink transmission in accordance with the maximum transmission power.

A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may receive signaling indicating a set of multicast configurations for a set of multicast modes supported by the UE. Each multicast mode of the set of multicast modes may be associated with one or more radio resource control (RRC) states. The UE may determine a multicast configuration of the set of multicast configurations based on an RRC state according to which the UE is operating. The UE may receive, while operating according to the RRC state, multicast data according to the determined multicast configuration.
