    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) receiving, from a base station, signaling configuring the UE with a semi-persistent (SP) channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource set. Additionally, the UE may receive, from the base station, signaling configuring the UE to communicate using multicast signaling via a multicast downlink shared channel. The UE may receive an activation command activating the SP CSI-RS resource set. The UE may apply a rule and based on the activation command and the rule perform rate matching on the multicast downlink shared channel around either multicast or unicast resources of the CSI-RS resource set.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station over a set of component carriers according to a carrier aggregation configuration. In some cases, the UE may receive an indication of one or more groups of units, where each group may include one or more component carriers and/or one or more time intervals of each component carrier. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) including one or more fields that are common to a group of units that may schedule a set of data transmissions over the one or more groups of units such that the single DCI may schedule multiple component carriers (e.g., two or more) over one or more time intervals. The UE may transmit or receive the set of data transmissions (e.g., uplink or downlink data transmissions) over the scheduled units based on receiving the DCI.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a maximum transmission power for an uplink transmission on a first cell of a first cell group (CG) based on a direction of communications (e.g., uplink, downlink, or flexible) with a separate cell of a second CG during a same duration of the uplink transmission and within a same first frequency range, where the direction of communications is either an actual direction or an assumed direction. The UE may receive an uplink grant scheduling the uplink transmission during a symbol and within the first frequency range, determine the maximum transmission power for the UE based on the direction of communications for the separate cell during the symbol and within the first frequency range, and subsequently transmit the uplink transmission in accordance with the maximum transmission power.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may receive signaling indicating a set of multicast configurations for a set of multicast modes supported by the UE. Each multicast mode of the set of multicast modes may be associated with one or more radio resource control (RRC) states. The UE may determine a multicast configuration of the set of multicast configurations based on an RRC state according to which the UE is operating. The UE may receive, while operating according to the RRC state, multicast data according to the determined multicast configuration.
