Abstract: A wireless device uses a frame-based channel access mode to access a wireless spectrum for wireless communication. The wireless device may use transmitter-side only channel sensing to determine whether or not the spectrum is idle. The frame-based channel access mode may use a fixed frame period that includes an initial sensing period for beam-based sensing and an idle period at the end of the frame to facilitate spectrum sharing.

Abstract: In an aspect, a PDCCH and a PDSCH are transmitted by a BS to a UE, whereby the PDCCH includes a first DCI part and the PDSCH includes a second DCI part (e.g., a 2-part DCI). In an example a first grant associated with the second DCI part is offset relative to a slot position of the second DCI part, whereas a second grant associated with the second DCI part is offset relative to the slot position to which the first grant is offset. In another aspect, two or more grants are grouped together, with the respective group being mapped to a PUCCH.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) may include receiving a message requesting estimated channel characteristics of a secondary band based on measuring characteristics of a channel in the primary band. The method also includes measuring characteristics of the channel in the primary band. The method estimates channel characteristics of the secondary band based on the primary band characteristics measurements. The estimating may occur without measuring signals in the secondary band. Further, the method may report the estimated channel characteristics of the secondary band and receive an indication of a secondary cell group, based on the estimated channel characteristics of the secondary band.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for beam failure detection in a second band based on measurements in a first band. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving one or more reference signals (RSs) on a first radio frequency band and initiating a beam failure recovery on a second radio frequency band based, at least in part, on the one or more RSs on the first radio frequency band. The UE may measure the one or more RSs on the first radio frequency band and perform beam failure detection (BFD) for the second radio frequency band based, at least in part, on one or more measurements of the one or more RSs on the first radio frequency band.

Abstract: A phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) may be transmitted to enable a receiver to correct phase noise in wireless communication. A UE scheduled for one PDSCH with DMRS ports in two or more DMRS CDM groups that are associated with two TCI states may be configured for PT-RS using two PT-RS ports. Therefore, rather than limiting PT-RS to a single port, the PT-RS may be transmitted to the UE using two PT-RS ports. The apparatus transmits a capability indication for more than one PT-RS port for receiving a downlink shared channel based on a first TCI and a second TCI. The apparatus receives a configuration for a maximum number of downlink PT-RS ports from a base station.
