A display apparatus and a method for driving a display panel thereof are provided. The display panel includes an inducing signal readout line and N gate lines, in which N is a natural number. The inducing signal readout line is coupled to a plurality of inducing circuits. Each inducing circuit is coupled to one of the gate lines, and the Nth gate line is coupled to one of the inducing circuits. In the method, several gate pulses are provided to drive the gate lines sequentially to turn on the corresponding inducing circuits, wherein at least a portion of the driving duration of a gate pulse provided to the Nth gate line is in a blanking time between two frames.

A structure for adjusting electromagnetic wave (EM wave) penetration response includes a plurality of structure units and a dielectric substrate with an upper surface and a lower surface. The structure units are disposed on the upper surface and/or the lower surface. The structure unit consists of metal lines or complementary slits so as to enable an EM wave penetration response of the structure to include a pass band and a stop band. The frequency of the stop band is higher than that of the pass band. If a distance between the structure and an object with a high dielectric constant is longer than a predetermined distance, the pass band covers a radiation frequency of an antenna. If the distance between the structure and the object with the high dielectric constant is within the predetermined distance, the stop band covers the radiation frequency of the antenna.

Disclosed is a method for making a low-k, flame-retardant, bi-functional benzoxazine. The method includes the steps of dissolving phosphoric diamine with various functional groups, phenolic adamantane and paraformaldehyde in a solvent at 72° C. to 88° C. for 7 to 9 hours, and cooling and introducing the solution in n-hexane to separate the low-k, flame-retardant, phosphoric, bi-functional benzoxazine.

The present application discloses a method of manufacturing a semiconductor structure. According to at least one embodiment, a first etch stop layer is formed over a conductive feature and a substrate, and the conductive feature is positioned over the substrate. A second etch stop layer is formed over the first etch stop layer. A first etch is performed to form an opening in the second etch stop layer, and the opening exposes a portion of the first etch stop layer. A second etch is performed to extend the opening downwardly by removing a portion of the exposed first etch stop layer, and the extended opening exposes a portion of the conductive feature.

A photovoltaic apparatus, through which an antenna is allowed to transmit and receive radio-frequency signals, includes a photovoltaic material and conducting electrodes. The photovoltaic material is used for converting photon energy into electrical energy, and the conducting electrodes collect and transfer the electrical energy generated by the photovoltaic material. The arrangement of the conducting electrodes forms a frequency selective surface placed in the transmitting or receiving path of the antenna. The frequency selective surface and the antenna have a spacing there between. The projection of the frequency selective surface in the transmitting or receiving path of the antenna covers the antenna.

An apparatus for improving decoding accuracy of an equalized signal having a direct current (DC) level obtained from an optical disk is provided. A Viterbi decoder is configured to decode the equalized signal and output a Viterbi-decoded signal. A DC controller is configured to adjust the DC level of the equalized signal such that the equalized signal with the adjusted DC level is decoded.

Disclosed herein is the use of an extract from an Aster species for the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of opioid-induced constipation. The extract is extracted from fresh and/or dried roots and rhizomes of a Tatarian aster (Aster tartaricus) plant, in which the extraction uses water or 40-95% (v/v) ethanol as an extractant to obtain an extraction mixture. In some embodiments, the extraction mixture is then eluted with water followed by at least one eluent.
