The control unit is capable of switching the ventilation air volume to at least a first air volume and a second air volume higher than the first air volume, and sets the ventilation air volume to the first air volume when the presence of a human is not detected by the human detection sensor.

    摘要: A damper controller may be configured to send damper control commands to open and close an outdoor air damper to provide free cooling as necessary to satisfy a temperature setpoint inside the building. In some cases, the damper controller may initiate a damper fault test to determine if a damper fault is present. The damper fault test may be based, at least in part, on an outdoor air temperature input, a discharge air temperature input, a commanded damper position, and a damper fault temperature threshold. If a damper fault is determined, the damper controller may send an alert indicative of a detected damper fault. In some cases, the damper fault test results may be weighted to reduce the false positives alerts.

    摘要: Various embodiments of a heat pump system are disclosed to provide improved and flexible heat pump operation when dehumidification of the conditioned space is required. In one embodiment, a heat pump system includes a heat pump loop comprising a refrigerant circuit that fluidly interconnects (1) a compressor; (2) a source heat exchanger; (3) a source heat exchanger bypass circuit comprising a bypass valve; (4) a space heat exchanger; (5) a reversing valve positioned on the discharge side of the compressor; (6) a reheat circuit comprising a reheat heat exchanger; (7) first and second expansion devices; and (8) first and second expansion device bypass circuits configured to allow refrigerant to bypass the first and second expansion devices, respectively, where the first and second bypass circuits include first and second check valves, respectively; and (9) a 3-way valve configured to selectively direct refrigerant flow to the first expansion device, the reheat circuit, and the second expansion device.

    摘要: An economizer controller calibration method, comprising: sealing an economizer perimeter gap between the economizer frame and a Heating, Ventilating Air Conditioning (HVAC) system cabinet to reduce an uncontrolled outdoor airflow; determining a functional relationship between an economizer actuator voltage (x) and a damper position Outdoor Airflow Fraction (OAF) (y); monitoring the economizer actuator voltage (x) and measuring at least one airflow characteristic to calculate the damper position OAF (y) and obtain a set of x-versus-y data for at least two damper positions: closed, intermediate, and fully-open; calculating at least two coefficients of the functional relationship using the x-versus-y data; calculating a target economizer actuator voltage (xt) as a function of a required OAFr (yr) using the functional relationship; and positioning the damper using the target economizer actuator voltage (xt) to provide the target damper position OAFr (yr) within a tolerance of the required OAFr (yr).

The vent apparatus comprises a frame that defines an inlet, and outlet, and an internal passage. A guiding member is disposed within the internal passage to thereby deflect or direct a portion of a flow of material between the inlet and outlet. A blocking element is disposed on the guiding member that is configured to expand to at least partially block the flow of material between the inlet and outlet.
