Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a network may schedule a user equipment (UE) for multiple transmission/reception point (TRP) communication. The network may transmit a single downlink control information (DCI) message to the UE to dynamically configure multiple transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for the multiple TRPs. In a first example, the DCI message may include a bit field indicating a set of antenna ports and the multi-TRP scheme for transmission. In a second example, the DCI message may include a separate field indicating the multi-TRP scheme (e.g., based on UE capabilities). In a third example, the DCI may indicate redundancy versions (RVs) for different TRPs in an RV field or across multiple fields. In a fourth example, the DCI may include an indication of a precoding resource block group (PRG) size that may be interpreted differently based on the indicated multi-TRP scheme.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices providing for media access control (MAC) control element (CE) configuration and triggering of sounding reference signal (SRS) are described. For example, a MAC packet data unit (PDU) may include MAC CEs and may indicate (e.g., via one or more bits in fields included in the MAC PDU, such as a MAC subheader) that one or more MAC CEs include one or more SRS configuration parameters. Such SRS configuration parameters may be used by a wireless device to determine an SRS configuration, or to update or reconfigure SRS configuration parameters of an existing or previously defined SRS configuration. In some cases, downlink control information (DCI) may be coupled to a MAC CE, such that the coupled DCI may provide additional SRS configuration parameters to be used in conjunction with SRS parameters indicated by the MAC CE. In such cases, the MAC PDU may indicate a coupling configuration.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for communications in a coordinated multi-point (CoMP) wireless communications system. In an aspect, a method of wireless communications may include receiving a request to form a CoMP cluster set of transmit/receive points (TRPs) for a user equipment (UE), determine the CoMP cluster set of TRPs for the UE based on at least a delay budget and a reliability requirement, and one or more of configuration information and measurements, and coordinate communications for the UE using the CoMP cluster set. The techniques described herein may apply to different communications technologies, including 5th Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) communications technology.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications system may support techniques for random access response (RAR) enhancements for multiple random access channel (RACH) procedures. In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may receive multiple physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) orders triggering respective RACH procedures, each PDCCH order indicating a preamble identifier associated with the respective RACH procedure. In some cases, the preamble identifiers may be the same or different. The UE may transmit a random access preamble corresponding to a preamble identifier indicated in a PDCCH order and may receive a random access response associated with a respective RACH procedure based at least in part on an indication included in the random access response. In some cases, the indication may be associated with a preamble identifier indication. In some other cases, the indication may be associated with a timing advance group.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message that includes a frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA). The FDRA may indicate a set of resource blocks (RBs), and the UE uses the indicated set of RBs to identify a first set of RBs for uplink communications using a first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state and a second set of RBs for uplink communications using a second TCI state, both of which satisfy a threshold for performing transform precoding. The UE may transform precoding the first uplink signaling and the second uplink signaling based on the first and second sets of RBs satisfying the threshold for performing transform precoding.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for uplink shared channel resource allocation for multi-cell scheduling. A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message including a first set of bits and a second set of bits defining resource allocation across multiple network entities, as well as indicating that uplink shared channel messages to a first network entity and a second network entity are scheduled according to a resource allocation type. The first set of bits may indicate one or more resource block indices and the second set of bits may indicate one or more resource block set indices. The UE may transmit the uplink shared channel messages to the first network entity and the second network entity according to the first set of bits and the second set of bits.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods, devices, and systems for wireless communications. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may transmit a multicast message to a group of user equipment (UEs), and the UEs may provide feedback for the multicast message. In some implementations, the base station may configure the UEs to transmit feedback for multicast messages. In some example, the UEs may transmit group-negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback information for multicast messages that are not successfully received at the UEs. In some other examples, each UE may be configured with UE-specific uplink control channel resources for transmitting hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for a multicast message. In some implementations, a UE may support feedback for both unicast and multicast messages. The semi-static codebook for unicast, multicast, or both may account for whether the UE is capable of concurrently receiving unicast and multicast messages in a slot.
