Abstract:
The present application relates to a colorimeter measurement method and a colorimeter for implementing the method. The method includes the following steps: placing a measured sample on a sample platform; shooting a current image of the sample; determining an intersection angle θ between the sample and a moving direction of the sample platform; adjusting a position of a scanning light spot of a colorimeter according to the angle θ, so that the sample coincides with the moving direction of the sample platform; using the colorimeter to scan the measured sample. By implementing the colorimeter measurement method and the colorimeter of the present application, the sample can be placed optionally when it is measured. Specially, when a design value of a measured sample is approximately equal to a size of the measuring light spot, much time can be saved and manpower waste is avoided.

Abstract:
An imaging transform spectrometer, and method of operation thereof, that is dynamically configurable “on demand” between an interferometric spectrometer function and a broadband spatial imaging function to allow a single instrument to capture both broadband spatial imagery and spectral data of a scene. In one example, the imaging transform spectrometer is configured such that the modulation used for interferometric imaging may be dynamically turned ON and OFF to select a desired mode of operation for the instrument.
Abstract:
An all-graphite interferometer bearing assembly is introduced that allows the movement of a movable mirror in a Michelson interferometer without degradation during use. The assembly includes a stationary hollow graphite tube and a movable assembly which includes a mirror and a monolithic graphite member slidably disposed within the bore of the graphite tube that is composed of the same grade of graphite material as the monolithic graphite member. The result is a robust novel moving mirror arrangement in a Michelson interferometer that enables precise mirror alignment control, a long stroke length, excellent vibration damping and reduced sensitivity to external vibrations.
Abstract:
A device for detecting a drug remaining in a target area that includes an irradiation unit configured to irradiate the area with a light beam including near-infrared light, a spectroscope on which reflected light from the area is incident, and a near-infrared imaging unit configured to capture a spectrum obtained through dispersion of the reflected light by the spectroscope, to generate image data, and to capture each spectrum of a predetermined number of pixels within the area. A control unit is configured to process the image data, to compute average spectral data of the area by averaging the spectrums of the pixels, and to compute an amount of the drug corresponding to the average spectral data, based on an equation. A storage unit is configured to store an equation expressing a relationship between a prescribed amount of a drug and spectral data based on the spectrum.
Abstract:
A multispectral imaging device for satellite observation utilizing “push broom” scanning over an observed area centered on one or more wavelengths which can be electrically controlled to produce a filtering function wavelength band, thus obviating the need for conventional stacking.
Abstract:
Aspects of a tandem dispersive range monochromator are described herein. In one embodiment, the monochromator includes a light source that provides broadband light, a tandem diffraction grating including a first diffraction grating and a second diffraction grating, a grating drive motor that rotates the tandem diffraction grating to provide dispersed wavelengths of light, a detector that detects a portion of the dispersed wavelengths of light, and processing circuitry that controls a grating drive motor to regulate an angular velocity of the tandem grating based on an angular orientation of the tandem diffraction grating. By using a tandem diffraction grating having different dispersive surfaces, measurements of relatively high precision and quality may be taken throughout a wider spectral range. In another aspect, the processing circuitry controls a sample drive motor to vary an angle of incidence of the dispersed wavelengths of light onto a sample for evaluation.
Abstract:
An interferometer includes a fixed assembly including a base, a beam splitter assembly and a fixed mirror, and a movable assembly including an upper scan carriage, a lower scan carriage and a movable mirror connected to the lower scan carriage. The pair of inner bearing flexures is connected to the base and the upper scan carriage, enabling movement of the upper scan carriage relative to the base, and the pair of outer bearing flexures is connected to the upper and lower scan carriages, enabling movement of the lower scan carriage relative to the upper scan carriage. The movement of the upper and lower scan carriages enable a scan movement of the movable mirror in a scan direction restricted such that the scan movement maintains a plane containing the movable mirror parallel to planes containing the movable mirror at respective distances between the movable and fixed assemblies during the scan movement.
Abstract:
A drug inspection device and method for distinguishing tablets that have different amounts of active pharmaceutical ingredients and are indistinguishable in appearance. The device focuses on a tablet packaging process for tablets containing different amounts of active pharmaceutical ingredients, every row or every pocket, having housed therein a plurality of tablets, is used for conveyance. A beam having near-infrared light irradiates the tablets, a spectroscope receives reflected light, a near-infrared imaging unit captures a spectrum obtained through dispersion of the reflected light by the spectroscope and generates image data, and a control unit processes the image data and performs an operation for distinguishing the types of tablets. The control unit controls the near-infrared imaging unit to perform image capture at least once on the tablets included in the one row, to compute average spectrum data per tablet, and to distinguish the type of tablet based on the average spectrum data.
Abstract:
A sensor suite comprising a first electronic imaging element such as an LWIR imager element and a second imaging element such as a visible imager element. The transmitter operates with a plurality of selectable beam-forming optics or a tilt-tip element. The optics for the system may be configured in a Cassegrain-type configuration in cooperation with a plurality of beam-splitting elements to permit different ranges of the received optical input to be provided respectively to the first and second electronic imagers. One or a plurality of laser illuminator analysis spectrometers are provided for the detection and characterizing of incoming laser illumination from an external source which may be in the form of a micro-lamellar spectrometer element.
