Abstract:
A communication method for incorporating an IoT technique with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate in comparison with a 4G system and subsequent systems and a system therefor are disclosed. The present invention can be applied to intelligent services (for example, services related to smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, health care, digital education, retail business, security, and safety) on the basis of a 5G communication technique and IoT-related techniques. A method for transmitting and receiving a signal in a terminal of a mobile communication system, according to one embodiment of the present specification, comprises the steps of establishing an access for a specific PDN connection with a base station and a wireless local area network (WLAN); detecting that the access through the WLAN is unusable; and transmitting, to a mobility management entity (MME), a control message for moving traffic through the WLAN, through the base station. According to one embodiment of the present specification, a traffic transmission path of the terminal capable of accessing both a 3GPP network and a non-3GPP network can be controlled in the network and the traffic transmission path can be determined according the states of the network and the terminal, thereby effectively utilizing limited communication resources.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The method includes transmitting a service authorization request message to a first network device, the first network drive including a proximity-based service (ProSe) function, and receiving a service authorization response message from the first network device. The first terminal is a relay terminal capable of performing a UE-to-network relay function.
Abstract:
A unidirectional service implementation method and an apparatus for transmitting media content collected by a terminal in a wireless communication system are provided. The unidirectional service implementation method includes registering with a server by transmitting a registration message, transmitting a first unidirectional service request message including information requesting a first unidirectional service, and establishing a first session based on the first unidirectional service request message.
Abstract:
A location registration method of a terminal in a mobile communication system is provided. The method transmitting a location registration request message to a network, waiting, when a reject message is received from the network in response to the location registration request message, until a radio connection with the network releases completely, and transmitting, when the radio connection is released, a new location registration request message to the network.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting and receiving a signal by a terminal in a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes transmitting a first message including information related to a service to a core network, receiving a response to the first message from the core network, and transmitting or receiving traffic related to the service based on the response.
Abstract:
A Short Message Service (SMS) delivery method and apparatus is provided for delivering an SMS message efficiently by selecting a network domain to attach to according to the service provided to a Mobile Station (MS) by the mobile operator network. An SMS delivery method of the present invention includes receiving, at a network node, an Attach/Routing Area Update (RAU) Request message including a parameter indicating an attach/update type and SMS-only service, and transmitting, when SMS in a Serving General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Support Node (SGSN) is supported at the core network node, to the mobile station an Attach Accept message including a parameter indicating that SMS in SGSN is supported. The SMS delivery method of the present invention is capable of delivering SMS message efficiently in the wireless communication system.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method by a terminal in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes transmitting first information including a public land mobile network identifier (PLMN ID) for a sponsored service, to a first server operated by a service provider, receiving, in response to the first information, second information including a token related to the sponsored service from the first server, transmitting third information requesting the sponsored service based on the token to a second server operated by a network operator corresponding to the PLMN ID, and receiving authentication information from the second server.
Abstract:
A mobility parameter adjustment method and apparatus for use in a wireless communication system is provided. The mobility parameter adjustment method of a base station includes receiving connection failure information from a terminal, and adjusting a mobility adjustment parameter based on the connection failure information. The mobility parameter adjustment method and apparatus of the present disclosure is capable of adjusting mobility parameter efficiently so as to improve the mobility robustness of the wireless communication system and User Equipment (UE).
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for controlling Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) selection in a wireless communication system. Information on a limitation of managed objects, indicating whether to allow reception of a WLAN selection policy from a roaming network, is received. It is determined whether a User Equipment (UE) exists in the roaming network. It is determined whether to receive the WLAN selection policy from the roaming network based on the information on the limitation of the managed objects, when the UE exists in the roaming network. The WLAN selection policy is received from the roaming network, when it is determined that the WLAN selection policy is to be received from the roaming network. A WLAN is selected according to a policy set for the UE, when it is determined that the WLAN selection policy is not to be received from the roaming network.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for controlling Short Message Service (SMS) delivery to a User Equipment (UE) over a Packet-Switched (PS) network without involvement of any Circuit Switched (CS) network node are provided. The method includes receiving subscriber information of a terminal from a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), determining whether the MME supports short message delivery over a Packet-Switched (PS) network, and transmitting, when the MME supports the short message delivery over the PS network, a registration request message including information for routing the short message to the MME to the HSS. The SMS delivery method and apparatus is capable of delivering the SMS message to the UE over the PS network without involvement of the CS network nodes, thereby negating the necessity of CS network nodes for supporting SMS service, resulting in reduction of maintenance and management costs.
