Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A non-terrestrial network (NTN) device (e.g., a satellite, base station) may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), at a first frequency a synchronization signal block (SSB) that indicates a second frequency of a control resource set (CORESET) relative to the SSB, where the second frequency is based on one or more of: a CORESET bandwidth, a combination of a first parameter associated with a first portion of the SSB and a second parameter associated with a second portion of the SSB, or both. The UE may monitor the CORESET at the indicated second frequency for a downlink control channel transmission. The NTN device may transmit, to the UE, a downlink control channel transmission over the CORESET. The NTN device may transmit, to the UE, system information based on the downlink control channel transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) receives one or more downlink signals using a first beam associated with a first set of frequency resources, switches from the first beam to a second beam associated with a second set of frequency resources, selects a set of frequency resources for transmitting feedback information associated with the one or more downlink signals, and transmits the feedback information to the base station using the selected set of frequency resources. In some examples, the UE transmits one or more uplink signals to a base station using a first beam associated with a first set of frequency resources, switches from the first beam to a second beam associated with a second set of frequency resources, and determines whether to send a retransmission of the one or more uplink signals based at least in part on switching.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device may use enhanced techniques for determining whether a transmission is scheduled to include new data when a mode for reporting acknowledgment feedback is disabled for one or more hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes used by the receiving device. An enhanced technique may include increasing a quantity of bits used to convey an indication of whether a scheduled data transmission includes new data. An enhanced technique may include monitoring a duration between transmissions scheduled by different control messages based on a timing parameter that indicates a maximum time between transmissions of a data set and corresponding transmission including the data set.

Abstract: A tethering user equipment (UE) device, such as a cell phone, may be tethered to a tethered device, such as augmented reality (AR) glasses. The tethered device may execute a Web Real-time Communication Protocol (WebRTC) endpoint application, and the tethering UE device may execute a WebRTC endpoint support function. The tethering UE device may access WebRTC signaling functions of a WebRTC operator network on behalf of the tethered device to send and receive AR media data of a WebRTC communication session. The tethered device may present received AR media data (e.g., audio, video, and image data) and may collect and send user movement data (e.g., view orientation, physical movement data, controller interaction data, or the like) to the tethering UE device to cause the tethering UE device to send the user movement data to other devices participating in the WebRTC communication session.

Abstract: An example user equipment (UE) device for exchanging media data via a network includes a memory configured to store media data; and a processing system comprising one or more processors implemented in circuitry, the processing system being configured to: receive data from a second network device via a radio access network (RAN), the data from the second network device including a local Internet protocol (IP) address type for the second network device and a maximum transmission unit (MTU) size for the second network device; establish a media communication session with the second network device; send data representing the local IP address type and the MTU size for the second network device to a gateway device associated with the RAN; and receive packets of a protocol data unit (PDU) set of the media communication session originating from the second network device via the RAN.

Abstract: Example devices and techniques are described for use with delay measurements. An example method includes determining whether a source port of a Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) packet of a multimedia application session is a same source port as a source port of a Real-Time Transport Control Protocol (RTCP) packet of the multimedia application session. The method includes determining whether a destination port of the RTP packet is a same destination port as a destination port of the RTCP packet. The method includes determining, based on whether the source port of the RTP packet is the same source port as the source port of the RTCP packet and whether the destination port of the RTP packet is the same destination port as the destination port of the RTCP packet, whether to use RTP header extensions for delay determination or to use RTCP packets for delay determination.
