Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to devices, wireless communication apparatuses, methods, and other aspects of correcting misalignment for orbital angular momentum beams. In one aspect, a wireless communication apparatus comprises a beamforming network comprising a plurality of antenna ports and a plurality of beam ports, wherein the plurality of antenna ports are positioned for communicating orbital angular momentum (OAM) beams, a plurality of output phase shifters, wherein each output phase shifter is coupled to a corresponding antenna port of the plurality of antenna ports, and control circuitry coupled to the plurality of output phase shifters and configured to select phase shift values for the plurality of output phase shifters to correct a misalignment of the OAM beams.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communications device may transmit a first signal. The first signal may be transmitted from a first antenna array of the communications device through a lens of the communications device in a direction. An energy of a portion of the first signal may be below a threshold based on a position of a second antenna array of the communications device. The portion of the first signal may correspond to a portion of a reflection of the first signal that overlaps with the position of the second antenna array. The communications device may concurrently receive, at the second antenna array, a second signal originating from another direction, where the second signal may be focused in the direction of the second antenna array based on the lens.

Abstract: Aspects of the techniques and apparatuses described herein provide an intra slot antenna diversity scheme that a user equipment (UE) may use to transmit uplink communications while mitigating antenna imbalance. In an intra slot antenna diversity scheme, a UE transmits an uplink communication by transmitting a first portion of the uplink transmission in a first part of a slot using a first subset of antennas and a second portion of the uplink communication in a second part of the slot using a second subset of antennas.
