Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a compound represented by Structural Formula (I): or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The variables for Structural Formula I are defined herein. Also described is a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of Structural Formula I and its therapeutic use.
Abstract:
The timing of logic read operations in a Flash memory device may be improved by a pad serial output circuit which receives a pre-decoded instruction signal and pre-fetched logic data prior to the last command clock, and which performs a fast resolution of the command in the pad serial output circuit on the last clock of the command input sequence. In one illustratively implementation, instruction pre-decode and data pre-fetch may be done on the seventh clock during command input. In another illustrative implementation, a first instruction pre-decode and data pre-fetch may be done on the fourth clock during command input, and a second instruction pre-decode may be done on the seventh clock during command input. Both serial protocol interface, including dual and quad I/O SPI, and quad peripheral interface are supported.

Abstract:
Airflow restriction systems are described herein which may be used to treat various disorders by creating expiratory positive airway pressure while providing for patient comfort regardless of the patient's anatomical variances. Such a device may be removably secured externally over the patient's nose rather than within the nasal passages to increase patient comfort. The restriction device may be secured, e.g., via an adhesive, to the patient and actuated via any number of mechanical or electromechanical mechanisms. Moreover, the restriction device may include one or more sensors to detect the patient's respiration activity such that the device may be actuated to correspond to the patient's exhalation and squeeze or otherwise constrict the nasal passages at least partially by pressing against the exterior surface of the nose to restrict the expiratory airflow.
Abstract:
A vehicle trim and microphone assembly includes a headliner having a substrate, a foam layer, and a surface cover covering the substrate and foam layer. The substrate has a hole that is covered by the surface cover. A bracket is secured to the substrate and a microphone installed in the bracket so that acoustic sound waves pass through the surface cover within the hole to be detected by the microphone.
Abstract:
A method for making a vehicle interior panel including positioning a slipsheet on a film or fabric liner. The liner is placed on a substrate board. The liner and substrate board are formed into an interior panel. A cavity is formed by removing a portion of the substrate board from the interior panel adjacent to the slipsheet position. A lamp is positioned in the cavity.
Abstract:
A vanity mirror and light assembly is provided for use on a vehicle visor. The vanity assembly includes a clear frame molded to a reflective film to define a reflector portion and a partially transmissive portion. The assembly also includes a lighting device located behind the partially transmissive portion of the reflective film to provide a vanity light passing through the partially transmissive portion. A method of forming the vanity assembly in a mold is also provided.
Abstract:
A sun visor assembly includes a sun visor in which the corners associated with one of the longer edges are rotatably mounted to an automotive vehicle, one corner of which is fixed and the other corner being removable from a mount affixed to the vehicle. The removable corner has a cutout with a cylindrical pin coupled to the cutout at both ends of the pin. The mount has an arcuate cradle to engage the pin over less than half of its circumference. The opening to gain access to the cradle faces generally downward when installed and the pin is held in the mount by magnetic attraction.
Abstract:
Methods and tools are disclosed for inserting an implant device that treats snoring and apnea of a patient by altering the position of a soft palate. Methods and tools can make an incision in patient's soft and hard palate to create a cavity that can house the implant. The tools can have visually observable markings that can be aligned with the incision, thus controlling the depth of the cavity. A needle having an incision edge can be used to make an incision in patient's soft palate. The needle can be bent into a suitable longitudinal shape to allow easier access and visualization of the process. A blade that makes the cavity in the tissue can be housed inside a channel in the needle. The tools may have stoppers to prevent excessive extension and retraction of the blade thus preventing an excessive cavity depth. Some tools may also house the implant device, which may be implanted after the cavity is formed.
Abstract:
An exemplary ultrasonic image processing system includes an ultrasonic transmitting apparatus, an ultrasonic receiving apparatus, a front-end processing circuit and a computer. The front-end processing circuit is electrically coupled to an ultrasonic probe through the ultrasonic transmitting apparatus and the ultrasonic receiving apparatus respectively. The computer is electrically coupled to the front-end processing circuit. The computer includes a central processing unit (CPU) and a graphics processing unit (GPU). The system employs the CPU to control the operations of the ultrasonic transmitting apparatus and the ultrasonic receiving apparatus through the front-end processing circuit, so as to acquire ultrasound scanning data. The system further employs the GPU to perform an image reconstruction process on the acquired ultrasound scanning data by way of multi-thread process, so as to generate an image display data. Moreover, a corresponding ultrasonic image processing method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A contrast improvement method and system for photoacoustic imaging decomposes a photoacoustic image into a plurality of subband images using a set of filters, and integrates the subband images to form an integrated image. The subband images may be pseudo colored and weighted to improve contrast of the photoacoustic image.
