    摘要: Aspects of the present invention relate to land grid array socket cartridge structures. In one embodiment, a land grid array (LGA) cartridge structure includes: a deformable thin film having at least one aperture configured to hold a substantially liquid metal, whereby in a compressed state of the deformable thin film, the substantially liquid metal of the deformable thin film is configured to electro-mechanically couple a carrier and a socket base. Another embodiment includes a method of forming a LGA cartridge structure. The method includes: providing a deformable thin film having a first surface and a second surface, and forming at least one aperture within the deformable thin film through the first surface and the second surface, wherein the aperture is configured to hold a substantially liquid metal.

    摘要: A connector assembly includes a cable connector and a receptacle connector. The receptacle connector includes a receptacle housing defining a receiving slot and a number of contacts including multiple first contacts and multiple second contacts. The second contacts include a number of differential signal contacts and ground contacts among which the differential signal contacts are paired and the ground contacts are located at opposite lateral sides of each paired differential signal contacts. The first contacts are ordinally arranged as GGVV, or VGVG, or VVGG, or GVGV, or GVVG, or VGGV, or VSSG, or GSSV. The second contacts are compatible to USB 3.0 protocol for high-speed signal transmission. As a result, it is easy to control the impedance of the whole transmission system so as to decrease signal attenuation and signal reflection.

The connector includes a housing with a port and at least one alignment feature that together define a direction of insertion. At least three function pins mounted to the housing each include contacts that electrically connect to one of the conductive tracks of a substrate inserted in the connector. A sense pin mounted to the housing has a contact that electrically connects to at least one of the conductive tracks of an inserted substrate. The sense pin can include a plurality of electrically-connected segments, each segment extending substantially parallel or substantially perpendicular to the direction of insertion of the substrate. Systems and methods for detecting an analyte in a bodily-fluid sample are also described.

The solder reflow process that is used for this purpose may be the same solder reflow process that is used to make electrical connections between the array of electrical contacts disposed on the lower surface of the socket and the array of electrical contacts disposed on the upper surface of the host CB. Because the solder reflow process is an automated process, the process of securing the socket to the surface of the host CB does not have to be performed manually, but can be performed automatically as part of a typical automated surface mount technology (SMT) process of the type that is typically used to mount components on a PCB.

The electrical contacts are located within a contact region that extends along the side surface. The electrical contacts are configured to engage an electronic module mounted over the contact region. The connector assembly also includes a shield wall that is attached to and extends along the side surface. The shield wall separates the contact region into shielded sub-regions. The shield wall includes a conductive material and is electrically coupled to the interposer. At least one electrical contact is located within each shielded sub-region. The shield wall extends between adjacent electrical contacts to shield the adjacent electrical contacts from electromagnetic interference.

The soldering portion includes two clamping portions extending laterally to respectively clamp a periphery of the solder ball. At least a part of the soldering portion is positioned below the abutting surface of the protrusion of the receiving hole such that the part of the soldering portion abuts the abutting surface of the protrusion of the receiving hole.
