In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may apply a timing adjustment for a sidelink connection with a second UE, wherein the timing adjustment causes a slot structure on the sidelink connection to align with a slot structure on an uplink connection with a base station; and transmit sidelink feedback, received via the sidelink connection, on the uplink connection based at least in part on the timing adjustment, wherein the sidelink feedback is mapped to a slot on the uplink connection, of two or more slots on the uplink connection that the sidelink feedback overlaps, based at least in part on a rule.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to methods and apparatus for rate-matching a stream of bits encoded using polar codes. An exemplary method generally includes determining a mother code size (N) for transmitting an encoded stream of bits based, at least in part, on a minimum supported code rate for transmitting the encoded stream of bits (Rmin), a control information size of the encoded stream of bits (K), a number of coded bits for transmission (E), and a maximum mother code size (Nmax), encoding a stream of bits using a polar code of size (N, K) and storing the encoded stream of bits in a circular buffer, and performing rate-matching on the stored encoded stream of bits based, at least in part, on a comparison among the mother code size (N), the control information size of the encoded stream of bits (K), and the number of coded bits for transmission (E).

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a transmitter user equipment (UE) determines a first demodulation reference signal (DMRS) pattern for a first slot allocated for transmission over a sidelink between the transmitter UE and a receiver UE, wherein the first DMRS pattern is determined based at least on the first slot having a first slot format of two or more slot formats, and transmits, to the receiver UE, DMRS in the first slot according to the first DMRS pattern. In an aspect, the receiver UE determines the first DMRS pattern for the first slot based at least on the first slot having the first slot format, and receives, from the transmitter UE, DMRS in the first slot according to the first DMRS pattern.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for managing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffer. An example method that may be performed by a first user equipment (UE) includes dropping, in response to a HARQ budget that is exceeded relative to a number of active HARQ processes, according to one or more rules, at least one of the transmissions or one or more transport blocks (TBs) associated with the at least one of the transmissions from being processed. The method further includes processing the remaining transmissions and taking one or more actions based on the processed remaining transmissions.
