    Abstract: In 5GS, Single-Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI) based backoff (BO) timers (T3584/T3585) can be applied to either the registered PLMN or all the PLMNs based on a 5GSM congestion re-attempt indicator. For a specific PDU session, the corresponding BO timer applied to the registered PLMN and the BO timer applied to all PLMN can be both running concurrently. It is proposed for a UE to stop both the BO timer applied to all the PLMNs and the BO timer applied to the registered PLMN, if running, in all the following scenarios: 1) Receiving a PDU session release command without a BO timer, 2) Receiving a PDU session release command with 5GSM cause #39, 3) Receiving a PDU session modification command, 4) Receiving a 5GSM message with a 5GSM congestion control BO timer value, and 5) Receiving a PDU session authentication command.

    Abstract: A method of enhancing IP packet forwarding feature support after interworking is proposed. When a PDU session in 5GS is transferred to a PDN connection in EPS, the UE shall assume the feature is supported after inter-system change from 5GS to EPS. When a PDN connection is established in EPS, the network indicated that the feature is not supported, and the network provided 5GSM parameters for ESM/5GSM interworking for this PDN connection, then UE shall assume the feature is supported after inter-system change from EPS to 5GS, the UE shall also assume the feature is supported after inter-system change from 5GS back to EPS. The IP packet forwarding features include PS data off and local IP address in TFT.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a ME/UE. The ME/UE determines whether there is a closed access group (CAG) information list stored in a USIM utilized by the ME. The CAG information list includes an entry that specifying a public land mobile network (PLMN) ID and a CAG ID that in combination uniquely identify a CAG cell. When the CAG information list is detected: the ME/UE maintains the CAG information list for selecting the CAG cell for the ME to access; the ME/UE searches for the CAG cell according to the CAG information list.

    Abstract: A method for handling a collision of a UE-requested PDU session establishment procedure and a network-requested PDU session release procedure is proposed. When a PDU SESSION ESTABLISHMENT REQUEST message indicates that the UE-requested PDU session establishment request procedure is to handover an existing PDU session between 5G 3GPP access and 5G non-3GPP access, the UE proceeds with the network-requested PDU session release procedure and aborts the UE-requested PDU session establishment procedure. Otherwise, the UE ignores a received PDU SESSION RELEASE COMMAND message and proceeds with the UE-requested PDU session establishment procedure.

    Abstract: A method for Procedure Transaction Identity (PTI) error handling on 5G Session Management (5GSM) procedures is proposed. If a User Equipment (UE) receives a PDU SESSION AUTHENTICATION COMMAND or PDU SESSION AUTHENTICATION RESULT message in which the PTI value is an assigned value, the UE transmits a 5GSM STATUS message including 5GSM cause #81 “invalid PTI value”. If the UE receives a PDU SESSION ESTABLISHMENT ACCEPT or REJECT message, a PDU SESSION MODIFICATION COMMAND or REJECT message, or a PDU SESSION RELEASE COMMAND or REJECT message in which the PTI value is an unassigned value, the UE ignores the received message. If the UE receives any 5GSM message in which the PTI value is a reserved value, the UE ignores the received 5GSM message.

In a third novel aspect, UE receives a QoS flow description IE during an EPS bearer activation or modification procedure. UE diagnoses whether an operation error occurs for a QoS flow description. If so, UE includes an ePCO/PCO IE with a 5GSM cause in an activation or modification accept message.
