Abstract:
One disclosure of the present invention provides a method for selecting an enhanced packet data gateway (ePDG). The method may be performed by a user equipment (UE) and comprise: determining, by the UE which has roamed from a home public land mobile network (H-PLMN) to a visited public land mobile network (V-PLMN), whether there exists an indication for selecting ePDG in the V-PLMN; determining, by the UE, whether the UE has attached to any PLMN in the V-PLMN, when it is determined that there exists the indication; determining, by the UE, whether there exists an ePDG PLMN list for the any PLMN in the V-PLMN, when it is determined that the UE has attached to the any PLMN; and selecting, by the UE, at least one ePDG in the ePDG PLMN list.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for monitoring UE reachability in a wireless communication system. A method for monitoring UE reachability may include receiving, by a Mobility Management Entity, a monitoring request message for UE reachability including a maximum response time from a Home Subscriber Server, detecting, by the MME, the UE reachability if it is expected that paging is able to be transmitted to UE when extended Discontinuous Reception is applied to the UE, and sending, by the MME, a UE reachability notification to a Service Capability Exposure Function before a next paging occasion of the UE, wherein the maximum response time may indicate a time during which the UE maintains a reachable state so that downlink data is reliably delivered to the UE, and wherein an occasion when the UE reachability notification is transmitted may be determined by taking into consideration the maximum response time.
Abstract:
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for supporting an internet protocol security (IPsec). The method may be performed by a mobility management entity (MME) and comprise: receiving a tracking area update (TAU) request message from a user equipment (UE); determining whether to activate an encryption option of IPsec; and transmitting a TAU accept message including IPsec related information generated based on the determination.
Abstract:
A registration method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The registration method includes transmitting a registration request message to an access and mobility management function (AMF), wherein the registration request message includes requested network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) including single (S)-NSSAI corresponding to a network slice to which the UE intends to register with; and receiving, from the AMF, a registration accept message as a response to the registration request message, wherein if at least one of the S-NSSAI included in the requested NSSAI is rejected by the AMF, the registration accept message includes the rejected S-NSSAI and a reason for refusal for the rejected S-NSSAI.
Abstract:
It is disclosed a method for managing a PDU session in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for supporting the same. Particularly, a method for performing handover of a User Equipment (UE) performed by a source Radio Access Network (RAN) that includes a processor, a memory and a communication module in a wireless communication system may include determining to initiate handover to a target RAN; and transmitting a Handover Required message to a source Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), and the handover is a handover in a case that there is no interface between the RANs or AMF change is required, and the Handover Required message includes a PDU session Identifier (ID) of an activated Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting, by user equipment, a PDU session establishment request includes: receiving a session management message based on an SSC mode from an SMF through an AMF in a state in which a back-off timer associated with a DNN-based congestion control is in operation, wherein the session management message is associated with a DNN to which the DNN based congestion control is applied; and transmitting a PDU session establishment request to the AMF for establishment of a new PDU session associated with the DNN on the basis of the session management message. The PDU session establishment request includes information for preventing rejection of the PDU session establishment request, and the information for preventing the rejection may be used to make the AMF ignore the DNN-based congestion control and transmit the PDU session establishment request to the SMF associated with the new PDU session.
Abstract:
An aspect of the disclosure relates to a method for supporting a local access data network (LADN) service by an access and mobility management function (AMF) in a wireless communication system, and the method may comprise the steps of: providing LADN information for the LADN service to a terminal, wherein the LADN information includes LADN service area information and LADN data network name (DNN) information; acquiring location information of the terminal; when establishment of a packet data unit (PDU) session for providing the LADN service is determined on the basis of the location information of the terminal, transmitting to the terminal a preset message including a request for the establishment of the PDU session; and receiving, from the terminal, a request message for initiating the establishment of the PDU session.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for selecting a session and a service continuity mode in a wireless communication system and a device therefor. Specifically, a method for selecting a session-and-service continuity (SSC) mode associated with a protocol data unit (PDU) session by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system supporting a plurality of SSC modes may comprise the steps of: receiving a data transmission request from an application; checking whether a first PDU session can support an SSC mode associated with the application; and when the first PDU session can support the SSC mode associated with the application, transmitting data of the application to a network by using the first PDU session without sending a request for establishment of a new second PDU session to the network, although an SSC mode of the first PDU session does not match the SSC mode associated with the application.
Abstract:
A disclosure of the present specification provides a method for managing uplink quality of service (QoS) by a base station. The method may comprise the steps of: determining whether a timer, driven by a terminal in relation to reflective QoS, has expired; during driving of the timer of the terminal, transmitting multiple packets within a traffic flow, to which the reflective QoS is applied, without setting at least one of a reflective QoS indication (RQI) and a QoS flow ID (QFI) for the multiple packets therewithin; and before expiration of the timer being driven by the terminal, setting at least one of the RQI and the QFI for at least one packet within the traffic flow and transmitting the set packet.
Abstract:
A network device with an access and mobility management function (AMF) transmits a request message for requesting a base station to perform radio resource control (RRC) state reporting for a user equipment. The base station transmits a reporting message including information indicating whether the user equipment is in an RRC_CONNECTED state or an RRC_INACTIVE state to the network device.
