Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can be configured to automatically turn off notifications when generating a notification would cause a disturbance or be unwanted by a user. The device can be configured with quiet hours during which notifications that would otherwise be generated by the computing device can be suppressed. In some implementations, quiet hours can be configured as a time period with a start time and an end time. In some implementations, quiet hours can be derived from application data. For example, calendar data, alarm clock data, map data, etc. can be used to determine when quiet hours should be enforced. In some implementations, the device can be configured with exceptions to quiet hour notification suppression. In some implementations, the user can identify contacts to which the quiet hours notification suppression should not be applied.

Abstract: An electronic device having a camera, while displaying a live preview for the camera, detects activation of a shutter button at a first time. In response, the electronic device acquires, by the camera, a representative image that represents a first sequence of images, and a plurality of images after acquiring the representative image, and also displays an indication in the live preview that the camera is capturing images for the first sequence of images. The electronic device groups images acquired by the camera in temporal proximity to the activation of the shutter button at the first time into the first sequence of images, such that the first sequence of images includes a plurality of images acquired by the camera prior to detecting activation of the shutter button at the first time, the representative image, and the plurality of images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a messaging interface. The messaging user interface includes a search affordance and a conversation between a user of the device and another user. While displaying the messaging interface, the device detects activation of the search affordance. In response, the device ceases displaying the messaging interface and displays a search interface. The search user interface includes a search field and categorized content items. The categorized content items include a content item stored on the device and a content item from the Internet. While displaying the search interface, the device detects selection of a first item in the categorized content items; and, afterwards, displays the first item in the conversation. The device transmits the first item to the device that corresponds to the other user in the messaging session. The other user's device displays the item in a conversation that corresponds to the messaging session.

Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, tactile output generator(s) for generating tactile outputs, and orientation sensor(s) for determining a current orientation of the electronic device displays a user interface on the display, where the user interface includes an indicator of current device orientation. The device detects movement of the device. In response to detecting the movement: in accordance with a determination that the current orientation of the device meets criteria: the device changes the user interface to indicate that the criteria are met by the current orientation of the device and generates a tactile output upon changing the user interface to indicate that the first criteria are met by the current orientation of the device; and in accordance with a determination that the current orientation of the device does not meet the criteria, the device changes the user interface without generating the tactile output.
