Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to communicating with multiple cells based on two separate subscriptions stored at the UE in a dual subscription dual standby (DSDS) mode, switching to communicate with the multiple cells in a dual subscription dual active (DSDA) mode, transmitting, to at least one of the multiple cells and based on a number of component carriers allowed for a subscription being exceeded by switching to communicate in the DSDA mode, assistance information to indicate a threshold amount of component carriers for the UE, and transmitting, to at least one of the multiple cells and based on the number of component carriers allowed for the subscription being exceeded by switching to communicate in the DSDA mode, a channel quality indicator (CQI) value for one or more cells of the multiple cells to request deactivation of one or more component carriers with, or release of, the one or more cells.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling including an indication of a first measurement gap configuration associated with a first bandwidth part (BWP) and associated with measurements for communications at the UE over a frequency outside of the first BWP in a frequency domain. The UE may receive, from the base station, a downlink message including an indication of the first BWP. The UE may then communicate with the base station during a first time interval based on the indication of the first measurement gap configuration and the indication of the first BWP.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure implement techniques that allow a vehicle performing V2X communications to provide more accurate S-RSSI measurements and CBR calculations for use in channel selection and congestion control. Techniques may include measuring a sidelink received signal strength indicator (S-RSSI) for each of a plurality of sub-channels, determining one or more signal impairment adjustment factors based on the S-RSSI for each of the plurality of sub-channels, calculating a channel busy ratio (CBR) for the plurality of sub-channels based on the one or more signal impairment adjustment factors, and initiating communication with at least one of the plurality of sub-channels based on at least the CBR.

The UE may determine that the command of mobility is for voice fallback. The UE may transmit, to a second BS associated with the second RAT and based at least in part on determining that the command of mobility is for voice fallback, a radio resource control (RRC) connection request communication for attempting to communicatively connect with the second BS for voice fallback.

Abstract: Aspects directed towards synchronizing out of coverage (OOC) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications are disclosed. In one example, a scheduled entity detects a loss of a synchronization signal associated with a V2X communication by detecting when a timing uncertainty value or error value is greater than a threshold value. Packet timing information is then received in response to the loss of the synchronization signal from at least one user equipment (UE) synchronized with the synchronization signal. The scheduled entity then maintains the V2X communication by performing a timing adjustment based on the packet timing information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a grant delay request to a base station. The grant delay request may indicate a future time, at or thereafter a base station is requested to allocate resources to the UE. The base station may transmit the uplink grant to the UE allocating the resources to the UE based on the grant delay request, and the UE may transmit, to the base station, an uplink transmission including the uplink data based on the uplink grant. The UE may transmit the grant delay request as part of a scheduling request (SR), or as part of a buffer status report (BSR), or a combination of these.

The processor may determine a factor that a request for the second system information will collide with a request from another wireless device for the second system information. The processor may send the request for the second system information using the determined factor.

For example, a method for wireless communication by a base station (BS) generally includes receiving, from a core network, a paging message for a user equipment (UE) comprising a paging identifier and a paging offset; determining a plurality of available paging identifiers for the UE associated with the paging offset; selecting, from the plurality of available paging identifiers, at least a first paging identifier to associate with a first UE based on the paging identifier; and paging the first UE using the first paging identifier.
