Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to generate a management frame identifying an operation mode for a basic service set of a local area network. An example disclosed method includes performing an assessment of a wireless network and determining an operation mode for a basic service set (BSS) bandwidth based on the assessment, the operation mode indicating continuity of a primary segment, a secondary segment, a tertiary segment and a quaternary segment. The example method further includes creating a management frame including information fields based on the BSS bandwidth, the information fields including a first channel width field, a second channel width field, a third channel width field, a first center frequency field, a second center frequency field and a third center frequency field and transmitting the management frame over the wireless network.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to enhanced retry count for an uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission. A device may identify a trigger frame received from a first device on a wireless communication channel. The device may determine a quality of service counter associated with an access category. The device may cause to send a frame to the first device based at least in part on the trigger frame. The device may determine an error condition associated with the frame. The device may refrain from incrementing the quality of service counter based on the error condition.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for high efficiency (HE) beacon and HE formats in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of a high efficiency (HE) access point (AP), where the apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured select a tuple from the basic HE-MCS set of tuples, if a basic HE modulation and control scheme (MCS)(HE-MCS) and a number of spatial streams (NSS) set of tuples is not empty, and otherwise select the tuple from a mandatory HE-MCS and NSS set of tuples. The processing circuitry may be further configured to encode a beacon frame in a HE single user (SU) physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU), in accordance with the selected tuple, and configure the HE AP to transmit the HE SU PPDU. Null data packets formats, methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses are disclosed for multiple 20 MHz operations.

Abstract: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. The AP may include a used basic service set (BSS) color in a downlink physical layer convergence procedure protocol, data unit (PPDU). The used BSS color may indicate communication between the AP and associated STAs. The AP may detect another PPDU from an STA that is un associated with the AP. If a header portion of the detected PPDU includes the used BSS color, the AP may: determine an alternate BSS color, and transmit a color switch announcement (CSA) element that indicates the alternate BSS color. The CSA element may be configurable to further indicate whether the AP and the associated STAs are to switch, from the operating channel to an alternate channel for the communication.

Abstract: An apparatus for implementing power control for a radio device that has multiple radio transceivers operating in different bands, including sub-bands of a single frequency band. The device implements a power control protocol for communications between the device and a similar peer device. The device sets-up the power control protocol by generating a request to use one of the multiple bands to signal power control operations, and to use another one of the multiple bands to transfer data between the device and the peer device. The device sends the request to the peer device and receives a response. Based on the response, the device identifies a control channel band and a data channel band from among the multiple bands.

Abstract: Embodiments for an access point (AP), station (STA) and method for communication are generally described herein. An access point (AP), configurable to operate in a basic service set (BSS), the apparatus comprising memory. The AP further comprising processing circuitry coupled to the memory. The processing circuitry configured to encode a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) for transmission to stations operable in the BSS. The PPDU may comprise a media access control (MAC) header portion. The processing circuitry may encode signaling in the MAC header portion of the PPDU that defines a spatial reuse restriction and the spatial reuse restriction may restrict spatial reuse by stations operating in a BSS that is different from the BSS of the AP. In an embodiment, processing circuitry coupled to the memory may encode the spatial reuse restriction in an HE-A control field of the MAC header portion.
