摘要： An apparatus and a method for applying a liquid active substance to surfaces moving in a circulating manner, such as of cylinders, rolls, fabrics or other moving webs, consisting of a metering unit and an application unit. The active substance is conducted to the application unit by the metering unit, and the application unit has a pad with an open-pore mesh structure for receiving and storing the active substance and for applying the active substance as a film as a function of the degree of saturation and the contact pressure of the pad on the moving surface. Also, the use of the apparatus for keeping moving surfaces free from deposits, accumulations or contaminants.

The ferrite applicator may include a compression air generation unit configured to generate and charge compressed air, a flat plate type base plate extended in a specific length, a piston assembly installed in the base plate and configured to perform a straight-line reciprocating motion, a control unit configured to transfer the compressed air from the compression air generation unit to the piston assembly and to control an electric operation, a movable plate connected to the piston assembly and configured to support the bottom of the electrification tube and to have an accommodation groove for accommodating a ferrite coating pad formed in the movable plate, and an elastic pressurization means placed over the movable plate and configured to elastically pressurize the top of the electrification tube and simultaneously guide the electrification tube so that the electrification tube rotates. Accordingly, a task for attaching the ferrite coating pad for reducing a corona pre-discharge current and a corona preliminary discharge voltage can be automated and uniformly performed with respect to the electrification tube, and the reliability and productivity of a task can be significantly improved.

The disinfection of the insertion channel is achieved by means of a method for the perioperative coating of a medical instrument to be inserted into an invasively produced bodily opening before use, comprising the application of a preferably viscous or foam-like composition containing at least one anti-infective compound, preferably a gel having octenidine, by means of an applicator, such that when said gel is used, the composition is also specifically effective in the first millimeters of the insertion channel. Furthermore, an immediate disinfecting action is provided over the entire coated surface.

The coaters may include a coating reservoir configured to apply a coating to the exterior surface of such members. The first aperture, second aperture, and coating delivery material may define a coating passageway through the coating reservoir. An engagement portion of the coating delivery material may define the narrowest portion of the coating pathway and be effective in supporting and coating the exterior surface of a member as the member passes, or is passed, through the coating passageway.
