Abstract:
Systems, methods and apparatuses for managing plant quarantines are provided, including quarantine tags that are utilized with plant-specific and user-specific electronic information to aid in notification, tracking, education, enforcement and compliance with a quarantine zone and rules for a plant quarantine. The quarantine tag includes text, symbols, images, colors, computer-readable codes and other information designed to help a user quickly and easily identify plant-specific and user-specific information related to a quarantine, including hyperlinks to electronic data accessible via a portable electronic device which provides and tracks location-specific, quarantine-specific and user-specific information to improve compliance and enforcement of the quarantine zone and prevent the spread of disease in cultivated plants. The user may be continuously provided with quarantine information on the device through an application which will aid the user in complying with the quarantine after acquiring a plant.
Abstract:
Apparatus, and an associated method, for alerting a respondent that generates a reply to a received mail message of addressing of the reply message to a non-secure address. A detector detects reception of a received mail message, and a correlator determines whether any of the entries on a distribution list associated with the received mail message is of selected characteristics, i.e., non-secure. If determined to be non-secure, an annunciator generates an annunciation requiring the respondent to elect whether to include the identified address as a recipient of the reply message.
Abstract:
In some implementations, a method for managing a receiver for user equipment in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system includes receiving, when in a DRX state or sub-state, a message within a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) resource region of a first sub-frame. The message is associated with a PDSCH transmission in a second sub-frame different from the first sub-frame. When not in the DRX state or sub-state, a message is received within a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) resource region of a first sub-frame. The message associated with a PDSCH transmission in the first sub-frame.
Abstract:
A method for downlink paging is provided. The method includes determining a number of bits of a user equipment identifier based on an on/off cycle of a user equipment and a paging group count. The method further includes assigning a paging frame in a communications channel, where the paging frame is selected based upon the on/off cycle of the user equipment, the paging group count, and the number of bits of the user equipment identifier.
Abstract:
Methods, mobile stations and networks are provided that cause a packet data service reconnect to be performed automatically after the occurrence of an event triggering registration, even in some circumstances where such a data service reconnect would not normally occur. This avoids complications that can arise due to the packet data service being discontinued upon registration and the resulting inability to reach the mobile station.
Abstract:
Apparatus and an associated method is provided for facilitating paging of an access terminal in a radio communication system. A page message with partial identities is generated that includes an access sequence ID. The access sequence ID is used by the access terminal when responding to a page. The access terminal sends an access probe using the access sequence ID included in the page. The page message includes a message structure with partial identities where the access sequence ID is conditionally included. If the access terminal is to use a regular pool of access sequence IDs, the access terminal is not sent an access sequence ID in the page.
Abstract:
An apparatus, and an associated method, for facilitating paging of an access terminal. A hash function is performed at a network entity to form a hash value. The hash value is utilized to identify a paging packet that is to be populated with paging information. Once formed, the paging packet is sent as part of a superframe of packets. The access terminal also performs the hash function to determine to where to hash to search for the paging information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to a manner by which to page an access terminal of a radio communication system to alert the access terminal of a pending call, or other communication. More particularly, the present invention relates to apparatus, and an associated method, that provides for the generation, sending, and analysis of a quick page message upon a paging channel, such as a QPCH (quick paging channel) defined in an exemplary cellular communication system. The page message is formed in a manner that reduces the likelihood of occurrence of false wakeup of an access terminal. Excessive battery depletion, as a result of false wakeup of the access terminal, is avoided.
Abstract:
Techniques for controlling wireless network operations associated with a flow control process of a wireless network involving a data session established between a mobile station and a service node. The network processor examines quality of service (QoS) data associated with the data session. The network processor causes the flow control process to be bypassed for the mobile station based on the QoS data indicating that the data session is associated with a predetermined traffic class (e.g. background traffic class). This serves to prohibit the flow control process from stopping the flow of data packets in the data session without terminating the data session based on detection of an out-of-coverage condition. Otherwise, the network processor allows the flow control process to be performed for the mobile station based on the QoS data indicating that the data session is not associated with the predetermined traffic class.
Abstract:
A method in a mobile device includes receiving an incoming call. An emergency signal, associated with an incoming call, is detected. The emergency signal indicates the incoming call is from an emergency call center. Responsive to detecting the emergency signal, the emergency call is automatically answered, and information identifying the incoming call as an emergency call is displayed on the mobile device.
