Abstract: A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes: operating in a dual SIM dual active (DSDA) mode with respect to a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and a second SIM; controlling transmit operations of the first SIM and the second SIM according to a time division multiplexed (TDM) priority pattern; performing demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling on the first SIM, the first SIM having a higher priority state according to the TDM priority pattern; and deferring a priority switch to give the higher priority state to the second SIM until after the first SIM has completed a repetition of DMRS bundling.

Abstract: A method of indicating resources for uplink-based positioning includes: determining whether a UE is within a downlink coverage area of a serving cell, for a first frequency band and a transmit power of the serving cell, and outside an uplink coverage area of the serving cell for the first frequency band and a transmit power of the UE; identifying a second frequency band supported by the UE, the second frequency band including frequencies below a lowest frequency of the first frequency band; and providing at least one PRS indication indicating at least OFDM UL-PRS resources in the second frequency band for the UE based on a determination that the UE is outside the uplink coverage area of the serving cell for the first frequency band and the transmit power of the UE.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may determine a currently active bandwidth part (BWP). The UE may determine a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration that specifies PRSs to be measured. The UE may determine that a first subset of the PRSs to be measured are within the currently active BWP and that a second subset of the PRSs to be measured are not within the currently active BWP. The UE may upon determining that measuring the PRSs in the first subset but not measuring the PRSs in the second subset will not produce a measurement result that meets an accuracy requirement, extending the currently active BWP to include at least some of the PRSs in the second subset.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications, including variable uplink grant configurations for high power class devices are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an advertisement message indicating an uplink transmission duty cycle associated with a first power class (PC) mode, the first PC mode of the UE corresponding to a higher transmission power level than a second PC mode. The UE may receive a set of uplink grants associated with a quantity of transmission resources exceeding the advertised uplink transmission duty cycle. The UE may transmit using the first PC mode, a subset of uplink messages associated with a subset of the set of uplink grants to satisfy the uplink transmission duty. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may transmit using the first PC mode, a first subset of uplink messages on a first transmission chain and a second subset of uplink messages on a second transmission chain.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support dynamic spectrum sharing for multiple radio protocols, such as New Radio and Long Term Evolution. Systems may implement a number of techniques to improve spectrum use by user equipment in dynamically shared frequency spectrums. In some aspects, the network may assign a user equipment to a specific bandwidth part based on a rate matching capability of the user equipment. Additionally or alternatively, the network may activate a specific bandwidth part based on the frequency of handover for a user equipment. In some aspects, the network may support dual registration (e.g., registration in a same frequency spectrum using different radio protocols) for a user equipment operating on a dynamically shared spectrum. To reduce the control overhead for such a user equipment, the network may use a single control channel to schedule data for multiple radio protocols.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may support multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) operation in dual SIM dual active (DSDA) deployments. In some aspects, the UE may dynamically allocate its hardware capabilities between a first network subscription and a second network subscription based on current or predicted future network conditions. The UE may predict future network conditions based on past and/or current measurement reports of network conditions. In some aspects, a UE may determine that a first network subscription's hardware capability is better suited to perform one or more network measurements assigned to a second network subscription of the UE. The UE may perform one or more network measurements assigned to the second network subscription via the first network subscription, and then transmit the report to the network via the second network subscription.

Abstract: Techniques to maximize connectivity to a preferred radio access technology (RAT) (e.g., 5G NR) over a less preferred RAT (e.g., 4G LTE) are disclosed. When UE is camped on a non-preferred RAT connectivity capable cell, offset(s) may be applied to accelerate triggering of the cell reselection. When cell reselection is triggered, offsets or biases may be applied to favor reselection to preferred RAT connectivity capable cell over a non-preferred RAT connectivity capable cell.
