Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication at a device. Demodulation reference signals (DMRS) may be used to facilitate demodulation of low latency control or data channels, or both. A wireless communication device may, for example, identify a carrier configuration with transmission time intervals (TTIs) of different durations. A carrier may be configured with TTIs that support low latency operations. A DMRS pattern for resources of a low latency TTI may be determined, and that first DMRS pattern may be based on a DMRS pattern for resources of another, longer-duration TTI. Devices may thus communicate using resources of a low latency TTI based on the first DMRS pattern. For example, a user equipment (UE) may demodulate resources of a low latency channel using the first DMRS pattern, and the first DMRS pattern may be consistent with DMRS patterns supporting non-low latency within a common wireless system.

Abstract: Handling of asynchronous multi-carrier is discussed. In new radio (NR) fifth generation (5G) networks, the potential for provision of multi-carrier operations (e.g., carrier aggregation (CA), dual connectivity (DC), etc.) that include asynchronous component carriers (CCs) has been proposed. However, because of the asynchronous relationship network entities, such as base stations and user equipments (UEs) will manage the asynchronous CCs by obtaining timing offset information, either through derivation or direct signaling, and determining a subframe correspondence based on the timing offset relative to a reference CC. By determining the subframe correspondence to the reference CC, the base stations and UEs can accurately map communications over the asynchronous CCs to the appropriate subframes across CCs.

Abstract: Symbol alignment and power scaling are provided for different length transmission time intervals (TTIs) within predefined boundaries, such as boundaries of a slot of a subframe. Described techniques provide for identifying time and/or frequency resources for one or more TTIs and allocating such resources based on a location within a subframe, pilot signals that may be transmitted using the resources, other processing timelines, or any combination thereof. Abstract: Full-duplex communication techniques are described. Some aspects may utilize full-duplex-slot formats, such as may be provided in addition to or in the alternative to uplink, downlink, and flexible slot formats. A full-duplex slot implemented in accordance with a full-duplex-slot format provides a slot in which the frequency band may be used for both uplink and downlink transmissions. Downlink and/or uplink transmissions of a full-duplex slot may occur in overlapping frequency bands or in adjacent frequency bands. A first wireless device may transmit slot signaling comprising one or more full-duplex-slot-indicator parameters. A second wireless device may base one or more full-duplex slot configuration determinations on a full-duplex-slot configuration. The second wireless device may apply one or more full-duplex-slot-indicator-parameter rules with respect to full-duplex-slot-indicator parameters for determining a full-duplex-slot format. A set of shortened transmission time intervals (sTTIs) for uplink transmissions of a first wireless service may be identified; the set of sTTIs located within subframe time boundaries of a subframe of a second wireless service with a longer TTI than the sTTIs. Two or more sTTIs within the set of sTTIs may be used for SRS transmissions within the subframe time boundaries.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for reduced timing between certain downlink communications and responsive uplink communications relative to certain legacy systems (e.g., legacy LTE systems). A user equipment (UE) or base station may be capable of operating using two or more timing configurations that each include an associated time period between receipt of a downlink communication (e.g., a grant of uplink resources or shared channel data) and a responsive uplink communication (e.g., an uplink transmission using the granted uplink resources or feedback of successful reception of the shared channel data). In cases where a UE or base station are capable of two or more timing configurations, a timing configuration for a transmission may be determined and the responsive uplink communication transmitted according to the determined timing configuration.
