    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A human user, such as a pedestrian, cyclist, or driver, may provide a feedback message to a vehicle whose behavior they observe. The feedback message and the recipient may be manually identified by the human user or may be suggested by the system or device. The feedback message may be broadcast and filtered by vehicles within the broadcast radius based on a vehicle identifier. A vehicle that receives the feedback message may discard the feedback message if it applies to another vehicle or may take responsive action if the feedback message applies to the vehicle. For example, the recipient vehicle may display the feedback message, store the feedback message to support related analysis, or relay the feedback message to other vehicles or network devices.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to controlling the transmit power of a satellite by controlling a duty cycle associated with satellite transmission. In some implementations, a satellite network portal (SNP) may send waveforms to a satellite that relays the waveforms to user terminals (UTs). The SNP may control the duty cycle of the waveform transmission (e.g., by transmitting on a subset of a subframe) to thereby control an average transmission power of the satellite when the satellite transmits to the UTs. In some implementations, a satellite or UT may control the duty cycle of transmission by the satellite (e.g., by transmitting on a subset of a subframe) to thereby control an average transmission power of the satellite when the satellite transmits.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support vehicle alerting, such as in autonomous driving networks. Vehicle alerting may provide messages alerting other vehicles and/or network components to instances of autonomous driving disengagement. A vehicle operating according to an autonomous vehicle (AV) mode may transmit an over-the-air message to one or more other devices, such as nodes of an autonomous driving network, to alert the one or more devices to the vehicle disengaging the AV mode. A device receiving an autonomous disengagement message may alter one or more autonomous operation aspects in response to the over-the-air message.     Abstract: A sidelink-based positioning session is initiated by a user equipment (UE) with an indication that the positioning session will be a unicast session using a single protocol design that supports both Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and New Radio deployments. An initiator UE may provide an explicit indication to a target UE that the sidelink positioning session will be unicast using a unicast flag in an initial sidelink positioning initiation message or in a direct link establishment request message. The initiator UE may provide an implicit indication to a target UE that the sidelink positioning session will be unicast by initiating an Authentication & Security procedure, e.g., by sending a direct link authentication request, after sending the initial sidelink positioning initiation message.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of one or more parameters for sidelink ranging sessions among session participants comprising a session initiator and at least one session responder, wherein the set of one or more parameters comprises: a first parameter indicating a first duration of time that a sidelink ranging session initiator allocates to receive, from a session responder, a response to a session request; and a second parameter indicating a second duration of time that a session responder allocates to receive a session confirmation from a session initiator after issuing, to the session initiator, a response to a session request. A UE may determine a set of resources available for transmission of one or more reference signals (e.g., one or more PRSs) in a shared radio frequency spectrum band (e.g., an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band) in a time interval for sidelink positioning. The UE may transmit, in a second radio frequency spectrum, a control message reserving the set of resources for the UE to transmit the one or more reference signals in the time interval for sidelink positioning.
